Finally - a helmet that fits!
I had to order a 3X size but finally found a helmet that fits my big head. I also like its light weight and the 180 degree movement of the chin piece. Quick release chin strap is a nice extra that I didn't expect. The package also included a "fog-free" visor that can be swapped out with the original. Another unexpected feature. The helmet is very comfortable as well as being good and snug when on. Easy to get on and off even wearing hearing aids. All in all I'm very pleased for the price!

Awesome helmet
Never thought I’d spend this much on a helmet but this is big time bang for your buck and actually a really good value. The modular aspect is fantastic. Had to return for next size up but this is super comfortable. I did not get too much wind noise, wasn’t bad at all (behind a windshield). Ventilation is good. Transitioning from full face to open, to shield down to darker shades are all very simple while riding. Helmet is not too heavy, I already rode for hours with no issue. Wish I bought this helmet years ago and will buy again if the time comes for replacement, I think it is a terrific value, very versatile and actually entices you to want to wear a helmet. BTW, it is a very good looking helmet. Field of vision is amazing for a full face modular. Additionally, I wear prescription glasses and the helmet is very glasses friendly. Very pleased with this model.

I love this comfortable helmet
After a mechanical failure on my previous helmet I bought this one. I like a modular helmet, but they aren't for everyone. I have a particularly large long oval head and the XXL fits me like a glove. On my previous helmet I had to file out some of the Styrofoam to make it fit my head, but not this one. The mechanism is amazing and very smooth. Everything interacts perfectly and never binds up. When you close the chin bar the face shield automatically lifts out of the way so that it doesn't interfere. After lowering the chin bar you can again lower the face shield. It's just a really versatile comfortable helmet. CONS: So, if it's so great, why not 5 stars. First it's a little on the heavy side, but that's to be expected with a modular. Next, the ventilation is marginal at best. Finally, it's a really noisy helmet. While I haven't taken it on a long trip yet. I think it would wear on you unless you used ear plugs or noise cancelling earbuds. All in all, it's the most confortable helmet I've owned.

Great fit awesome ventilation easy to swap shields
This helmet came with everything from a pin lock to a helmet holder to keep the fatigue down a special tool to remove the shield and a 5 year warranty. Fits a bit firm at first but that’s part of the break in. Great padding throughout the helmet.

Meh…
The helmet as a whole is okay. Because of the modularity, if you don’t use the chin bar, there is a significant amount of wind that comes under the shield and there is little to no padding in the forehead area so it starts to hurt after around 15-20 of riding. I can’t say I would recommend this helmet.

Comfortable
Just getting back into riding after a long hiatus to raise a family and am stunned by the leap in technology both of design and materials. I rode high performance machines back in the day and wore high dollar helmets of which I still have one. I thought it was pretty comfortable then but after wearing the Valiant the old helmet feels like a clamp. The Valiant is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn by far. I've seen many reviews both here and other sources complaining about the ear clearance and tight cheek pads. All I can think of is those folks must have really big ears and fat cheeks because I had no problem whatsoever. The inner cushion material is very soft and conforms nicely. Buy it. Get white. The MSF stats show the chances of getting hit are reduced by up to 40% by simply wearing a white helmet. Another nice little feature is little mirrors on the rear and sides that will flash in the headlights of other motorists and grab their attention. When open it looks like a flight helmet.
