A lot for the price
As a lifelong knife collector and former knife dealer I look at knives coming out of China with a guarded eye. Ned Foss, however, is offering products out of China that are well made and good value. This is my second Ned Foss product, having previous bought a hatchet by this brand, and I am very satisfied. The knife is full tang and sufficient thickness to make a very strong blade that is shaving sharp out of the box. Blade profile is very reminiscent of a Kabar. Handle slabs and butt cap are held on with screws, and fit and finish are excellent. The Kydex sheath holds the knife securely and once again everything is held together with screws. The small drain hole is also a nice touch as well and I also like the included wipe rag. The price for such a knife is also attractive, making this knife a hard value to beat.

Classic design redux, tried and true. Won WWII
If I had to go back to desert storm, this would be the perfect combat/utility blade! A great improvement on a classic Marine’s fighting knife! The blade is just long enough to reach the heart beneath the rib cage, and more than long enough to penetrate the cranial cavity if pushed up from c-1 or c-2 up thru the skull. Over the last 50 years, I have collected and carried many blades, both folding and fixed. This relatively inexpensive knife just nailed every one of my needs for (almost) edc. It’s large but conceals well with a couple of purchased Kydex holster loops. The knife is grip heavy, but only by an inch. I am completely satisfied, and will buy another in case these are discontinued. It’s that good! I would like to have a skull crusher on the pommel to make it perfect. As far as a hunting and camping/survival knife, it’s perfect. With the ability to dig, drill holes, split wood, and be fashioned as a spear. I would have liked to have a lanyard hole towards the pommel.

Heavy combat fixed blade w/ mediocre kydex sheath
I was interested in getting the ZT 006 fixed blade but it was way out of my price range (over $300) but then saw the glowing reviews of this Ned Foss Brave fighting knife, which looks VERY SIMILAR to the Zero Tolerance 006, on Youtube and Amazon and decided to buy it to add to my extensive fixed and folding blade knife collection. The knife is well made and very heavy for its size. While this knife is 1 oz lighter than my Ka-Bar Becker BK7, it seems heavier perhaps because of the thin hard handle. The blade is incredibly sharp and the G10 handle fits perfectly on this full tang blade. What I don't like is the kydex sheath that comes with this knife. There is no 'click' when you put the knife into the sheath and the sheath seems to only be retaining this heavy blade in very lightly. If I fell, I wouldn't have any confidence that the knife would stay in the kydex sheath. I also don't like the leather/pleather retention snap, which only has a cheap rivet that goes into the pleather strap and you can spin it around. You also have to be careful removing and inserting the blade into the kydex sheath or risk cutting the retention strap. It would have been nice if NedFoss put two rivets in the retention strap or better yet, sewed it to the plether dangler. I would have also have appreciated an ejection curve on the kydex sheath, so I wouldn't have to look at where my blade is facing to remove and put the knife back into the kydex sheath. Obviously for $48 I wasn't expecting a super knife but I consider having a strong and well made kydex sheath a key safety point of any fixed blade and this sheath needs work. I'm kept this knife but the sheath is a disappointment.

High quality
Feels like a high quality fixed blade, feels good in hand, and is a really good deal, to be around $60 . Was sharp out of the box. Overall, happy with this knife and do recommend it 👍

Excellent Knife, but needs a tweak or two
Very good steel, is sharp out the box with good QC. In the design, the handles are too slim to provide a good grip for all users. They should incorporate a slight mid swell in the halfway part of the handle, if you want to base a knife off the Ka Bar or EK models at least stick with the handle profile. As others said, this isn’t a camp knife but more of a stabber and tactical weapon. An employee of mine bought one and uses it as his boar dagger when hunting, but it’s not to be confused as a chopper.

Needs an ambidextrous sheath
Great outdoors working and combat ready knife! Just the right size and price. Lefties must improvise with a right hand only sheath as usual.
