This book is essential for every serious violinist, violin student, or violin pedagogue. It explains the difference between technique and training required for orchestral and ensemble playing, versus that for solo playing. 99% of players will play in an orchestra or ensemble, vs. perhaps 1% who will play solos, yet 99% of the instruction traditionally available covers solo technique and only 1% covers ensemble and orchestra technique.

Ich habe mir dieses Werk gekauft, um vielleicht neue Erkenntnisse in der Interpretation von Orchesterstellen zu erlangen. Aber Pustekuchen... wer Geige studiert hat, wird das sowieso schon alles kennen. Geigentechnisch empfehle ich dann auch eher die Klassiker von C. Flesch und I. Galamian. Damit ist das Geld besser angelegt.
