ENGEL 60 QT Ultra-Light Injection Molded Cooler - Ice Chest Keeps Ice up to 7 Days - Large Cooler Includes Wire Basket, Divider and Built-in Bottle Opener

I purchased this cooler from Engel about a month ago. Since then I have been using it on the boat to keep drinks, snacks and whatever else cool and secure on my boat while while guiding clients on full day trips on the water. The cooler looks great, stays where I put it and is sturdy enough to use as a bench or platform for casting. The locks are convenient and easy to use, the divider trays are a great option for storing things to keep dry or to keep snacks up and away from the ice. I run 200 trips a year and demand excellent performance and quality from from products just like this Engel Ultra light 60Qt cooler and it has surpassed my expectations. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a great cooler that is versatile in many applications.

This cooler is the perfect combination of weight, capacity and price. The heavy duty rotomolded 10 day ice retention coolers are awesome for extended trips, extreme heat, etc.- I own several of them, but that extended ice retention comes with a high price tag and some serious weight to lug around. Often (and most often) I only need to keep things cold from 1-4 days. I've used this cooler a couple times now, and once was for a long weekend. I did pre-chill the cooler overnight as I always try and do, but it lost less than half the ice over the 3+ days with the lid being opened repeatedly. I didn't really notice a difference in ice retention from my standard Engels or YETIs in that duration. I'm guessing 5+ days wouldn't be an issue. The reduced weight is appreciated when lugging it around (it weighs the exact same as my YETI 35, and has twice the capacity), and the price is right- bridging the gap between HD rotomolded monsters and cheap off the shelf semi-disposables that don't last or keep ice well. My standard Engels will still get the call for week-long hunting and fishing adventures, but this new "lightweight 60" is the perfect size and weight for daily to long weekend use. The included divider, basket, and built-in bottle opener are bonuses, as is the fact that most 750ml-1L wine and liquor bottles fit inside standing up- something that always annoyed me about most 50-65qt coolers. I'm guessing this will become my most used cooler.

I love the cooler, it is have the weight of the other brand super coolers and holds ice for days and is still built like a tank. We received the cooler just before we headed off on a 2000 mile road trip to Florida it exceeded our expectations. It was 5 days before I even thought of adding ice. I liked the many features. starting with the rubber feet so it didn't slide around, the air tight gasket on the lid, bottle opener on the front, nice sturdy handles that are easy on the hands that lay flat so they don't take up extra room, the cooler comes with a basket and divider, and a gasketed drain plug that didn't leak water on the carpet of the car. Best cooler I have ever Owned!

After we moved down to Florida, we were advised to prepare for power outages during hurricane season. I bought this cooler with the impression it could keep ice and cold objects sufficiently cool for several days. The heat index during the summer in Southwest Florida gets into the low hundreds, so my expectations were only a couple of days. Which is exactly how long the ice will last. The cooler is solid, does exactly what I would like it to do. I'm sure it would stay cooler longer in less extreme heat conditions, but not so in our area That said, it is perfect for all day outings, just not several day stretches.

I'm really liking this cooler. I love that it's lighter than our previous rotomolded coolers - about 10# lighter actually! It's so much easier to move around when full. Pretty sure it's the best cooler I've ever owned. A great thing about this particular cooler is the size of the interior. I have other major brand rotomolded fishing coolers and their reusable ice blocks don't fit into the bottom of their cooler. It's driven me agro for years. The Engel interior base is 11 3/4 across so fits those freezer blocks nicely. Other things I really like: High quality lid seal, rubberized replaceable latches, non-slip feet, included divider and basket. The divider and basket are great accessories. I like not having to pay extra for small things like that. The divider has been quite useful when splitting the cooler between adult and kid beverages. Engel quality is top notch. I've used their fridge/freezers for years and am happy to add this cooler to my system.

Worked just as intended -- we had a camping event in 80 degree heat, Wednesday night through Sunday night. We used block ice (frozen in those silicone molds for ice baths) and lined it before putting in the food. By Monday morning (when we got home) -- more than half the ice was still solid. We /did/ put it in ziploc bags just in case it melted, but the ice in each of the bags was more than half solid. All of it. Cooler has a solidly fit seperator in the middle that neatly (and water tight) separates the two halfs if you use it -- and a basket for dry foods on one half. No wheels, unfortunately -- but that's not hard to rig up. Absolutely worth it.

Just returned from 10 days in New England. 75-80 F days and 50 deg evenings. Started with 35 lbs of ice and added about a total of 30 lbs over the 10 days. I Left the cooler in the car entire trip. I drained water every couple days when I went to town. I used the included dry goods rack for lunch meats and leftovers. The lunch meat cheese was good the entire trip. This cooler is a nice compromise between a heavy rotomolded and a less expensive and lighter option. The quarter turn drain locks and seals well. I had a little leakage early on only because I forgot to check it before use - so be sure to check that it’s tightly sealed. Once I tightened it never leaked again. I’d purchase again with no hesitation.

So we were faced with a challenge as we were going away camping with the dog for 4 days and didn't know how to keep his food fresh, we came across this absolute weapon of a coolbox and after reading reviews we decided it would be an investment and dear God we weren't disappointed, we used 4 bags of just ice and a couple of frozen water Pepsi bottles as ice packs. We loaded the coolbox Thursday morning, used it as you would during the trip, came to empty it Monday morning and there was still ice!! The drinks and the fresh food were still ice cold! It is 100% worth the investment and the sheer size of it meant we could put an amazing amount of food and drink in it. The drain hole means it was simple to empty and clean too! Overall couldn't fault the coolbox at all 10/10!

We bought this because our freezer was on the blink and the new one wasn't due for delivery for a couple of days and had to be completely defrosted to be taken away. I froze every ice block we had, put them and the contents of the freezer in this container and closed the lid. After a day and a half, the ice blocks were still frozen and so was the food, everything went back into the new freezer with nothing wasted. Perfect, not what it is designed for, but it was far cheaper than replacing the contents of the old freezer.

mega kalt, leicht, viel Volumen. Ich habe bereits ein Yeti Roadie 24 und wollte noch eine große Kühlbox stationär für den heißen Sommer daheim. Die Engel ist mega. schön dick isoliert und mit großen Kühlakkus + Crushed Ice hält sie trotz Sommerhitze tagelang kalt! Ich hatte selbst nach 3-4 Tagen bei 30° auf der Terrasse immernoch Eiswürfel drin. wichtig : die Kühlbox sollte vorgekühlt werden bzw mit viel kalter Masse gekühlt werden, weil sie eben nur die Kälte halten aber nicht aktiv kühlen kann. Ergo : große Kühlakkus einfrieren und dann reinpacken, dann die Getränke dazu. Ich würde die jederzeit wieder kaufen und empfehle sie weiter.

Hält Lebensmittel mit Kühlakkus mehrere Tage kalt. Perfekt als Ergänzung in einem Campingfahrzeug, zusätzlich zur elektrischen Kühlbox.
