Will this be brighter than my van's current reading lights which use 12v 6w incandescent bulbs?

Not sure what van you have but all LEDs are brighter than most stock lights. My Osram is not a cabin light but a directional reading light and is adjustable. So yes.

Does it come supplied with the required.Lithium Metal batteries

No, the one I bought has to be wired into your vehicles electrics but they do a version which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. I don't think they do a battery version.

What bulbs do they take and can they be replaced with a red one? By

This is a light with Light Emitting Diode (LED) and cannot be replaced
