Comfy, high quality !

works well, smaller than described
works quite well for me, and seems to be at least somewhat breathable material - I rinsed it off and let it air-dry after sweating on it. I got the smaller version, based on my waist size (~32) and it is snug on me. If your waist size is larger than 32, order the larger version.

This ambilocal hernia girdle/belt is not bad.
It's a pretty good compression belt/girdle, for pre-surgery use only. I would have given a better rating score if this belt could be used post surgery comfortably. There were also some additional issues (listed below) that also hindered a perfect score. Here are the PROS & CONS I identified plus suggestions to improve the belt:1. PROS1A. The pressure pad worked REALLY good for this belt's specific purpose1B. It has a good elastic ability1C. The airy spacing in the belt's design helps to remove sweat, especially when the needed protective underlayer shirt causes more moisture.1D. The pad is well designed to put direct pressure throughout the bellybutton area with a soft breathable material facing the body, very comfortable.1E. Price is not bad for a decent compression belt/girdle.2. CONS2A. The hook and pile tape set up for the pressure pad has the hook tape facing inward towards the body/skin, ouch. You can't even use a shirt for protection under the belt if no pressure pad is needed. That hook tape will destroy any material if no pressure pad is on it if the user moves around (while awake or asleep).2B. The hook tape/pressure pad site is on the complete opposite side of where the belt connects together. This forces the user to put the belt on with the back facing forward and then twisting it to get the pad on the hernia site. There is absolutely zero ability to keep the pressure pad on the hernia while attaching the belt to itself...unless someone else helps the user. The big issue in trying to do so runs a high risk of keeping exposed hook tape (that is facing inward) on top/bottom since they are forced to use a mirror to safely put it on (if available), otherwise this will cause the exposed abrasive tape to rub against the skin...ouch3. FIX SUGGESTIONS3A. In regards to 2A, don't offer the option to remove the pressure pad if the developer refuses to switch from hook tape on the belt itself to pile tape.3B. In regards to 2A, switch to a pile tape so the belt can be used for more than just one ability; providing an option pre-surgery direct pressure while awaiting surgery. The compression belt/girdle SHOULD also be allowed to be used for post-surgery compression to help keep the skin from stretching at the stich site, especially for those who have a weight issue where their core is more fluid-like. I still would like to use this belt through to (or past) my post operation check-up. As it stands, this belt will only be usable for a shorter amount of time with zero use afterward, making more synthetic garbage (not very green friendly).3C. In regards to 2B, why not put the connecting tape for the pad directly behind where the belt connects to itself. This would prevent the need to twist the belt around, after connecting the belt together, to put the pad on the hernia site.

Buy it!
My husband had umbilical hernia surgery and used this after to support his stomach. He said it was so comfortable (he slept in it) the velcro holds well, gives plenty of support and is very well made. This is a quality product and fit perfectly.

A little uncomfortable
I wasn't crazy about this belt. I was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia and didn't want an operation at this point and thought a belt might be a good idea. The problem with this one is that it kept rolling up on me since it is quite wide. I also found that I didn't like it right on my skin as it was irritating. In the end, I use it once in a while, but it is too uncomfortable for every day use.

Comfortable. Put together in the front then turn
Listen carefully. You have to fasten it from the front then spin the back to the front. That is how to put it on and never put directly over your skin, put over t shirt or tank top. Also, i you have a beautiful g belly your going need to get an 2xl or 3x large. You can get directly from the seller or research for another seller that has the larger sizes. Mines feels comfortable. I have umbilical hernia but no pain and not having any surgery soon so wearing it until i think i am comfortable getting surgery.

Best post surgical support or hernial support
I just had a portion of my colon removed and this product made it possible to move around soooo much easier afterwards. I wore it while I was recovering in the hospital, and ever since I got home. I anticipate needing it for at least 4-6 weeks after surgery. Simple abdominal movements cause discomfort. This keeps tissue from pulling & makes sitting up, coughing & turning so much easier. Doctors don’t like prescribing opioids very much & this great invention helps to get by with minimal amounts.Im 5’6”, and the width is perfect. I’d probably go with a wider band if I was >6’ and most of my abdomen needed supported.

horrid, The one I left from the hospital much beter.
This thing is all bad, nothing good I can say about it. I'm one week in to hernery surgery repair and I have to wear a compression belt for for a minimum of 2 weeks. I was hoping to find something more comfortable but this is NOT IT!!! I'll note on the issue I had with it.* The attachment is centered on you spine which is not possible to do after surgery.* Elastic fabric is very stiff and harsh on the skin, if you wear it for the day you will have a imprint of the fabric in you skin for several hours.* There are 3 attachment points so its limited in adjustment.* over all pain relieve it add more pain and your better off with what the hospital gave you.* The silicon attachment that goes on your belly is required otherwise you have to put a cloth in there to cover the spiky Velcro I think they put the fussy and spiky stuff on the wrong sides.
