Can this be used at the cruise?

Cruises do not allow anything that has an heating element. It is considered a potential fire hazard and will be confiscated.

Has anybody been able to use this/get it hot enough to boil eggs? Thanks

This kettle is supposed to have an auto shut-off that activates when the water comes to a boil. If this feature works you would not be able to boil eggs. This feature does not work on my kettle and the water keeps boiling, so maybe I can boil eggs in mine lol! Personally I don’t think it’s a good idea to get the silicone that hot for long enough to cook eggs, but what do I know?

Has anyone trid using this while traveling by Amtrak?

I’m an Amtrak engineer and use this on the engine to make tea. It works!
