Worked for me! No issues deterring cats
I was sceptical about this but thought I’d give it a go. Build quality seems good. Be carefully to fit the seal around the battery cover properly and you should not have issues with water. I bought this to stop cats doing their business on my front lawn. I followed the instructions on the frequency to set to deter cats. Since installing 2 of these on my lawn I have had literally zero cat issues. So in my experience it’s a great buy. Going to order 2 more for my rear lawn.

Seems to work after turning up the frequency
Initially the product did not work with the nuisance cat soiling my grass right in front of the detector. For the last 2 weeks I have turned the frequency up to 3/4 level and have not had an issue since. A little fiddly to setup initially but so far so good. I'm giving 4 stars for now as I've not had it long enough but if it continues to keep the nuisance cats at bay then this product is a 5 star.

I hate cats
This is great for scaring off the cats. They use the front garden as their toilet. Hasn’t broken yet and had it outside for a couple of months. Seems good. I hate cats. A LOT.

These do not work
The light worked on day one, left it and went away for a few weeks and as I just returned to my property, there is only one still switing on the blue light and all others are just dead. Cats poo all over and even right in front of them. I just noticed the window to return has past. I am genuinely after a working solution to deter stray cats from using my loan for a toilet. I am interested to testing the sensor water spray one. Please let me know how We can make this owr. Also, I must return these other ones as they do not do the JOB. And before you ask, it is under plenty of sun and in Portugal. Thanking you for your understanding N.

Noisy to humans, cats not bothered.
Every cat is different they say, but these have failed to be a cat repellent to our locals! They came as a twin pack, and were easy to set up. Unfortunately one failed after a couple of months. The one that still works is most annoying to humans!

A Cat Deterrent that appears to work
I am totally satisfied with this product. I bought the solar powered version for obvious reasons - it needs to work even if I forget to replace batteries. I had been 'bothered' by a cat using my garden as a toilet on an almost daily basis. I put these in place just before I went away for 5 days over Xmas. When I returned not a blade of grass had been soiled. It is impossible to determine whether these have worked or that the cat (I assume) had died or just moved on. Quite a coincidence so I shall say they worked. I am not going to remove them as some kind of experiment. I am satisfied with the robustness, packaging, delivery and value for money. Only time will tell on the reliability. At present I give it a maximum.

Absolutely work as a humane deterrent for cats, but beware snow may irreparably damage them!
As a lifelong animal lover, the sudden surge in cat ownership during coronavirus lockdown should have been a welcome addition to the community, but instead, with the sudden transformation of my front lawn into the neighborhood latrine, I actually found myself sympathizing with Mary Bale, the infamous Coventry "Cat bin woman"! I tried many solutions, none of which seemed to work. I must admit I was skeptical at first, but I can say these devices do work and are 100% humane. To begin with, there was still some digging and fouling, but it noticeably moved ever closer to the boundary of my property until it stopped altogether after about a week. We bought 4 to cover all the likely entrance points and give nearly 100% coverage. The setting intensity of 4.0 worked for us. The local cats now still pass through our garden but evidently are no longer comfortable relieving themselves within the area of effect. We live at quite a high altitude and this winter has seen a few blizzards already with strong winds and moderate snowfall which buried the devices. Two of the devices then stopped working completely despite replacing the battery packs and spending several days in the sun. If snow is anticipated they should probably be removed to a sheltered spot for the duration, else the risk is they will be irreparably damaged. I was disappointed at the speed at which the fouling (in both volume and frequency!) started up again with the reduced coverage. The marketing material had suggested a learned aversion would set in after prolonged exposure, but this did serve to emphasize the evident effectiveness when working at full capacity. Perhaps a full year of use will be needed to ingrain the effect! Otherwise, relatively low maintenance is required so you can set and forget. Don't bother with the non-solar version as they are a waste of money, despite costing less. Placement should be facing the likely entrance points of your property but not facing a public footpath or road else the battery will be drained faster than it can recharge.

Although the sensors worked well and was waterproof it didn't appear to deter local cats even when setting was adjusted..
