Good value
Really good value for money and the expected quality. This was easy to build and even my 5 year old was able to assemble some of it. It looks good and my son has a lot of fun playing with this.

Lots going on
This is a top quality Lego set. Bought for myself and 7 year old boy to build and play with. The build itself was great, suitable for seven year old with a little help. Not too many stickers. Plenty of variety too with the main helicopter and several other smaller builds - boat, bike and base. Excellent for play, there are a lot of accessories as well as moving parts so this is a top set for playtime in my view.

This set has so much going on and is relatively affordable 🦍 🌺 🌴
The media could not be loaded. From the gorillas to the mini-figures and helicopter, this set is gratifying to put together and scores top marks for animated enjoyability. With 881 pieces the set includes a motorbike, swamp boat, jungle and base camp, plus 5 adventurer mini-figures, 2 adult gorillas and a baby gorilla, a toy map, medic bag, binoculars and camera, plus a pink frog and butterfly. The helicopter is the pièce de résistance of the set. The helicopter is the largest build with some very large pieces to construct it. It is assembled using technic parts mostly. The cockpit is spacious and seats 4 mini-figures. At the rear of the helicopter is a dial which when turned spins the twin propellers with rapid action. The technic structure of the helicopter is mostly concealed. The back of the helicopter can be opened and the cargo hold is a good size allowing the base camp to fit in and also to fit animals and small vehicles alike. All of the smaller vehicles including the air boat and motorbike can fit in the back. This space is also a great way to store away the vehicles when finished playing. The boat is the smallest build. It doesn't have many pieces and looks similar to boats in previous sets, with the main difference being the colour which matches the rest of the Jungle Explorer sets. Although it's small, it's a nice addition and provides more vehicles to build your scene. The motorbike is basic - made up of multiple pieces. Sadly it doesn't stand unaided and requires a mini-figure to hold it upright. The base camp (tracking station and camp kitchen) is rather feeble and a simple build, with the highlight being the computer which has a sticker as the monitor. While the build is unassuming, it's made to slot inside the hanger of the helicopter, hence the small size it is.The environment scene (jungle base) is very detailed. It's the gorillas habitat and is an average build. There are plants, a flower and 2 trees with fruits (peaches I think?) and a waterfall and cave. There's a huge spider, a shark, pink frog and a butterfly too. This base includes adult gorillas but there is also a baby gorilla. The fruit pieces fit into the gorilla’s hand perfectly, allowing you to pose the gorilla as if it is eating the fruit. My grandson and his daddy (my son) had so much fun playing with all of this set. The new moulds are all good, with a large variety of builds and a great selection of animals and mini-figures highlighting the set. This amazingly fun set doesn’t come at too high of a price tag but I was a little disappointed that the mini-figures no longer have names nor do they carry guns (for protection) and machetes to cut through the jungle. Have Lego done away with those?All-in-all, I highly recommend the LEGO City Jungle Explorer Helicopter at Base Camp.
