Le Chameau Giverny, Women's Boots

Wellies seem fine - as expected. First time with this brand so time will tell. Our 3-Stars were for the methods of the supplier who did not dispatch the size 5 as ordered, but sent a 6. Their return system was less than straightforward requiring email confirmation from the supplier which was slow.Meantime our daughter turned up complaining of her own leaking wellies. She was offered a trial of these new ones which did not fit her mother. She IS a size 6 and they were fine. She then bargained with us over the price (irkingly admirable) saying "I would never pay over £100 for a pair of welly-boots - I'll give you 60".She won, the supplier won, and we lost. We are not at all sure they supplied a larger size in hope... this time it paid off.

Although they are quite expensive, I wear wellies for two 1 hour dog walks per day when wet and cheap boots just don't give the same level of comfort and stability. They also stay put if you venture into boggy areas.Could be a bit tougher at toe end as my last two pairs have been punctured by sticks in undergrowth.

Arrived quickly. They look beautiful and feel very comfortable. They are a good fit and high leg but if you wanted to wear very thick socks you might need a size bigger. Very good grip. I haven’t used them in bad weather yet but (almost) look forward to winter! One other thing - they might be a tight fit if you have well developed calf muscles as they are shaped. My only niggle is they need a good wiggle and pull to take off because of the shaping!

I wanted to replace my old Chameau neoprene lined boots which had done some 12 years hard use and were comfortable enough to use on long walks. I included neoprene in my search and these came up, they have a normal thin lining so may not be so warm in winter as the others, but they fit fine.

Disappointed to be honest. Quite tight and have such solid inner soles that they hurt when on a long walk. Look nice, undoubtedly durable etc, but not very comfortable. I ordered a size bigger and couldn't get a thick sock in them.

Ordered a size larger than normal to allow for thicker socks; still too small so returned and ordered an even larger size! Now they are a good fit - so advise buying 2 sizes larger than normal shoe size.Boots are a lovely dark blue; well moulded and comfortable. The soles are thick and with good grip which was why I ordered them - needed a good sole for walking across fields (as opposed to gardening or popping to the shops!) The liner is a pretty check and is comfortable.

Best wellies ever! These are my 3rd Le Chameau pair of wellies, they are not cheap but they last forever and are designed to walk every day for as long or as short a walk as you wish, without causing any blisters nor discomfort. They are the perfect fit and offer excellent grip and comfort in all weathers. Can't fault them and will continue to buy this brand and style as it has never let me down.

More like plum coloured than cherry I'd say, but very acceptable and good appearance.Have not been worn "in anger" yet, but soon will be with autumn arriving.Shape and colour approved by friend who knows about such things.UPDATE 20/9/18Excellent in use; material - soft rubber (as expected) - very flexible compared withthe boots they are replacing after two years' hard use. Could recommend with confidence.
