The best!
Been searching for a good foundation for ages, so glad I found this one it looks so good on and doesn't cake or look patchy.

Foundation too drying, powder excellent
I’ve never tried this brand before, so I was interested as it’s a budget range yet has a lot of followers. It’s rather packed full of chemicals, so check the ingredients if you have sensitive skin, although not tested on animals fortunately. In spite of the allegedly moisturising properties of the foundation, I found it rather drying on my skin - I’ve shown a photo of it on the inside of my wrist and it’s a rather creamy consistency, which settled into lines immediately and was difficult to spread out with a brush. I guess that gives the coverage but personally I prefer to build it, focussing on different areas of my face which may need more. I shook it thoroughly, as recommended on the bottle, but it’s rather thick and gloopy. Be wary of the pump bottle as there’s no lid, so in a make up bag it could get pressed accidentally then you’ll end up with foundation everywhere. I ended up having to apply it with a dampened blender, but I’d rather use a brush to build coverage where I need it. Although I had to blend and blend to prevent it caking into my fine lines and wrinkles, it really does stay put, so it needs a good cleansing balm, cream or oil to remove it. It’s not really for me, personally. The powder is a different matter altogether - it’s a setting powder, so although a neat little puff is provided, I use a big fluffy brush as I only want a light set. It has slightly yellow undertones but once applied, really is translucent and does a great job. I used it over my usual foundation and concealer and it didn’t cake, didn’t settle into creases and gave me a lovely natural finish, not overdone at all. Both items arrived in sealed boxes with authentic labels, so they’re genuine. I’d need a lot more moisturising in the foundation but the setting powder is a winner for me.

Good coverage without blocking pores
I don't usually wear make up, especially foundation, as I have usually found that it blocks my pores and I start to sweat through it, even on cooler days. I'm in my mid 50s, but without any deep lines & wrinkles. I have a complexion on the olive end of the range, but went for a fairly light Nude/Translucent colour option, as I'd rather it was a little lighter than my natural tone than darker. I don't have any special preparation potions, so I applied this with a damp sponge over a light moisturiser. The foundation went on very smoothly and evenly, looked natural and covered blemishes and uneven skin tone. I applied the translucent powder over the top, and the finish wasn't caked and didn't look obviously "made up" (a concern of mine because I so rarely wear it). Most importantly, I had no sweating from blocked pores I usually get from foundation. I'm not sure why, but I'm happy I have one product I can use that doesn't make my skin feel uncomfortable. I probably still wouldn't choose to wear it in very hot weather, but that's just a decision I'd make for any make up for my own sensory reasons, because it presumably wouldn't prevent perspiration if it's hot out and I'd likely mess it up through the day. I am really happy with it. At £12.99 for the two products, I'd say this is definitely worth the money.

Good value makeup combo
I already have Phoera's Buff Beige foundation, which is currently my favourite makeup - so I didn't hesitate to order this foundation and face powder combo. Previously, the foundation came with concealer, which I am now using for the first time ever, and I liked the idea of trying face powder too. I've always thought of face powder as being only for people who liked to wear lots of makeup - and look made-up - whereas I like a completely natural look. However, the foundation and concealer blend in really well, while blurring fine lines and imperfections, so I was hoping that the powder would too, and not detract from the overall natural look. Both the Buff Beige shade of foundation and Cool Beige powder are just right for my pale skin colour. However, when I tried out both for work, the powder did make me feel a bit over made-up, so I will probably keep that for going out in the evening. It comes in a nice light compact so could be useful for taking with me for touch-ups. I'm certainly no expert on makeup, but this foundation/powder combo seems to me to be very good quality for only £9.99. Importantly, it's also 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

Hard to blend, cakey powder and the shade selection is way off.
I gave this combination foundation and setting powder a real good go - it's been WEEKS I've been testing it out. Unfortunately, I have very little to say about both products that isn't bad. I really want to be fair in this review, so I feel I have to note that the packaging while a little on the cheap side looks pleasant enough and has a modern sleek feel. Not the prettiest out there, but I can live with that if the product is good... which unfortunately it isn't. First, the foundation itself is very heavy even when lightly applied and the shade selection is very limited. Personally I found the shade to be way too orange which meant I couldn't use much without some serious blending, which led me to quickly find it did not blend well at all. Not a great start. As for the powder, it is similarly hard to work with. Unlike the foundation, the colour was fine - it's transparent, so it can be used on a wide variety of skin tones without much issue. However, this is the only positive thing I can really find to say. I found the powder itself to be heavy even used in small amounts and tended to not so much set the foundation itself as it did just make the skin look very flat and dull. My skin looked absolutely lifeless after applying both products, no matter how minimally - not the kind of look anyone wants to achieve. As stated above, I really did give this product a good test. I've had it for WEEKS now and have been going back to it now and then to see if there is any way I can find to make it work for me, but there isn't. As it is, I've decided to give up and both products will be passed to a local charity in the hopes someone else out there may get some usage out of them. 3 stars purely for clean, simple packaging but honestly, given how poorly the products perform, even that feels too generous.

Applies easily, good coverage
This is a brand I have not tried before, so choosing the colour was a bit of a lottery. I think I struck- lucky in choosing nude with the translucent powder – I have pale skin with no pigment. The products arrived individually boxed, the foundation has a pump dispenser top – there is no lid, but you can twist the top to secure it for packing in a bag. I found the foundation to be a reasonably good colour match for me, it applied very easily with my fingers (I rarely use a brush for foundation). I found the coverage quite good and it evened out my skin tone very well. I found that I didn’t need much, so I think the small bottle will last quite well. The powder comes in a small round pot with a little powder puff above a dispenser plate with holes in. Again – very little product needed otherwise I felt it started to look obvious. I don’t think this will replace my usual brand permanently, but I will certainly use up what I have, I was pleasantly surprised and it is extremely good value for money.
