Japanese engineered snips
Good quality snips made in Japan by Engineer Tools. Very able and capable of cutting steel guages up to 4mm. They're a good size measuring just under 6" in length, they're made from grey tooled steel with frosted rubberized grips. The blades are precise and very sharp and the pivot tight and the jaws are very flush with no visible gap. The cutters on my Channelock Lineman pliers are just as able at making clean cuts, but these are a specific tool just for snipping cleanly and flushly. A little pricy for what they are but worth the extra if you use them for thier intended purpose frequently.

Japanese Quality
Great sharp tool.

Very sharp
These cutters are sharp, easy to handle and small enough to be used with fine wires. I bought them for jewellery making and they do the job well. The only problem I can find is that they are not retractable, I mean once you cut your wire you have to open them up again manually and that is a bit of a hassle when you are working with both hands, which is what I normally do. Apart of that, they are great cutters.

Top quality case hardened steel
Very well made and robust side cutters. The cutting edges mate together perfectly, zero misalignment. Quality tools like these are a thing of beauty! Thank you Japan! UPDATE: After chopping several 1.0mm Ø hardened spring steel coils they still retained a perfect cutting edge. No damage whatsoever.

Sharp like a samurai 🥷
I have a set of these cutters previously about (5 years ago) & they have been used nearly everyday at work, I decided to purchase another pair for my portable toolbag as there that good. Long lasting & very durable, just be mindful of what your cutting (size of cable) I use these for electrical cable, telephone ☎️ data & alarm ⏰️ cable's.

Awesome tool
After a bit of googling, I've decided to give these a try. To be honest, I knew they would be good because every Japanese made tool I've had exceeded expectations, but they're really, really good. Perfect alignment and they cut cable without effort. They look basic, but they do the job well, there's absolutely no play in the pivot point and the sharp blades meet perfectly with no light showing. Perfect. Let's just see how long they last

I recently picked up the Engineer NK-36 diagonal nippers, and I'm quite impressed with their performance. These are definitely a step up from generic cutters. The blades are remarkably sharp and make clean, precise cuts on both copper and softer steel wires without much effort. I've used them for various tasks around the house and for some electronics projects, and they've held up very well. The build quality feels robust and durable, exactly what I'd expect from a Japanese-made tool. The handles are comfortable enough for extended use, and the overall size is good for getting into tighter spaces while still providing leverage. My only minor observation is that while they're "heavy-duty," for extremely thick or hardened materials, you'd still want a dedicated bolt cutter. However, for their intended capacity, they perform admirably.

I've become quite a fan of Engineer pliers. This model fits in well between my larger 8 inch diagonal cutting pliers and the Engineer Precision Micro cutters. Engineer tools are very well made and comfortable in the hand. I'm sure I'll be buying some of their other pliers in the future.

I found this nipper to be very strong, as described. I bought this made-in-Japan wire cutter to store in my made-in-Japan vehicle in the unlikely event it needs roadside repairs.
