I work from home, in Tech and I purchased this hub as the one my work provided did not have enough connections and had issues with drivers needing installed continually and from day one. (J5 create). I also wanted more HDMI connections for multiple monitors (I have 3). This hub is excellent! It is easy to set up, no drivers to install, its plug in and you are ready to go. I kept the other hub too, but use the HP hub for the connections that never worked with the J5, and also it has way more connections, usb, hdmi, etc so I can hook up 3 monitors to it and more, easily. No issues with this hub! Highly recommend!

Love this dock, but if they get bumped off the desk, they fold like a gen-z activist.

Works great just what I needed to work from home with my Zbook.

This was a huge mistake. I could not get it to work even after multiple troubleshooting. I wondered why the 100w and and 180w were the same price. Now I know. the 180w must be defective and they lowered the price to move it. However, anything over $200 is not cheap. I sent it back 5 days after I got it. I ended up getting HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable next. I do not recommend 180w hp thunderbolt. POS!!! My title should be - Defective Unit - Dead on Arrival Purchased the HP Thunderbolt 4 Ultra 180W G6 Dock (Model 9X481UT) to set up dual monitors with my HP Envy 17 laptop. Unfortunately, the dock never powered on despite trying multiple outlets and checking all cable connections. The unit was completely dead on arrival. Had to return this defective unit and purchase the HP Thunderbolt 280W G4 instead, which is working properly. Disappointed with the quality control on the 180W model, as I wasted time troubleshooting what turned out to be a DOA unit. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this particular model based on my experience.

I can only recommend an ingenious device. Perfect for changing locations with the notebook, so the entire screen, printer, LAN cable can be easily plugged in and unplugged. I am very pleased.

Powers both my HP Z Book and MacBook Pro well, but doesn’t allow power up of either system while lids are closed. Previous HP Dock allowed power up with lids closed.

Works great plug and play.

We could not get the displays to connect with this docking station.
