At an average of 33 cents each not a bad deal. Sadly I’ve come to accept that items like this will have a percentage that’s defective. Two duds out of 50 isn’t horrible. It is hard to get them to squeak though. You have to hold them just right to not cover the squeaker.

Got these as a joke for my father-in-law. He built a toy chest for an auction and these were hidden inside for the purchaser to find.
