Fly/Mosquito japper
Excellent value, two settings, 1st setting, use like a tennis racquet to jap the flysheet, very affective indeed. This yeah thus far, we've witnessed unprecedented amount of fly, for some uncanny reason they are everywhere. The second setting is brilliant, just fold the handle, and with the violet light, hung up, and left on at night, with fantastic results. I reckon that we've reduced our insect population in our house by at least 70%. The product is recharged by turning the unit off, and plugging the USB in to the mains. The only down side is that the unit takes around 4 hours to charge up. And is active for around 3hrs 40 mins only before you need to recharge again, but saying that the amount of flys that we have trapped is amazing, so it's definitely a sure investment. I now have 3 of these Jappers, 1 in our lounge, 1 in our bedroom, and 1in our 2nd bedroom, it is an amazing product, and completely safe. To clean, just ensure the unit is turned off obviously, and just shake it clean over a sink, and brush it off with a soft brush. Hope that helps.

Very novel idea
This zapper is quite unusual, in a good way.A well though out design with duel function, freehand zapping or standing/ hanging, always on, attraction mode.An unusual feature is it has a slide switch instead of a push button, that you have to hold in all the time to make it work.Slide the switch to position 1 and it is in swatting mode (remember to slide to off after swatting to save the battery), it displays a red activation light to remind you it is on.Sliding the switch to position 2 activates the ultra violet light to attract the bugs. This is used for the free standing mode. The head of the bat rotates so it becomes free standing, or can be hung by the handle. You can reach the switch easily when it is freestanding mode.Ok it wont outright kill a wasp, but will stun it and you can finish it off. I have tried a lot of zappers over the years and have never found one that kill’s wasps outright. So there you have it, a rechargeable 2 functionZapper bat. I think it’s excellent value for the price. So I have just ordered another one. Happy zapping.

So far, so good!
This is one of those products I’m going to have to review based on the functionality and quality and return at a later date and amend the rating if it’s ineffective at exterminating flies. As yet I don’t have any of the pesky things to test it on and I’m not that much as a sadist to go hunting for them like a serial killer of the insect world. However in a few more weeks, when the warmth of the sun finally returns, I will be throwing open my French doors and this is when the problems begin. Not only are we semi rural, I have my neighbours cat to contend with, which despite my best efforts to deter it with every method known to man, it still likes to 💩 in my flower bed directly under my window. So you see my issue here, I have lots of flies that enter my home, potentially with not nice things on their feet landing on my worktops. The flies I hate with a passion are the ones that fly in figure of eights round your light fittings but then decide when you fancy a quick snooze to buzz near your ears and land on you constantly.Anyway… enough backstory. Onto the racket! It’s great quality, very sturdy and a good weight to it. It should swing with precision. I like the way it charges via usb, the days of hunting for batteries are long gone. What I’m particularly looking forward to is that it can be stood and used as a constant exterminator, so when I don’t fancy a game of fly tennis, it can carry on the job without me.Easy to operate and charge and if it does what I say’s on the tin, it will be worth its weight in gold never mind 13.99! I’m giving it 4 stars based on what I know! If it changes come spring! I’ll let you know!

Perfect
Absolutely very effective. Left on the kitchen island corner, it has killed a lot of flies!

Broken within a month
This would not charge properly and the ambient light was hit & miss when we tried to turn it on. Killed about 3 flies and has now completely stopped working within a month of purchasing it. Disappointing and would not buy again or recommend which says something when I usually leave good reviews.

Poor battery life
Feel like it was constantly needing charged, worked well when it was charged though. If using as a standing zapper best to keep it plugged in.

Absolutely brill!
Had a period of flies over the summer. Using spray they flew around then died eventually somewhere in the house and you had to tidy up.This thing just vaporises them :)Can be used like a tennis bat and just wave it hitting the fly like a tennis ball. Or leave hanging, folded so that the handle is behind the cage wire and switch the ultra violet light on and wait .When it does get one , the crack is quite loud , especially if is a big juicy fly (my partner screamed with shock the first time they heard and saw it (bright flash) 😅.Totally rechargeable , portable and folds down to store easily.Cannot fault - absolutely brilliant!
