I can’t stress how important it is to use rubber wheels for office chairs. Unlike plastic 2” wheels, these don’t scratch your floors or tear the carpets apart.They roll smoothly and have little to no noise when rolling around. As long as they’re river with a metal ball bearings, they should all perform similar on an office chair unless you want something with almost no rolling resistance.These will work perfectly for my tall office chair I use to sit and observe the skies with my 12”Dobsonian.

This is a major upgrade to the wheels that came with my chair. Now I can scoot back my chair without it getting stuck.

Easy to install, just pull out the old casters and put in the new ones. Way better than a mat or carpet for laminate or hardwood floors.

OK, this is kind of a lame "I just got this and it looks great" review. These casters are advertised as having 3/8“ stems, but they aren't; they are 10mm. The easy fix is to use a 10mm or 25/64“ drill bit and open the holes just a touch. They roll a bit too well but pivot a bit clunky. Overall these allowed me to use my vintage office chair on hardwood floors without a floor protector.

If you're not sure wether or not your hardwood floor is level these will let you know. They also work great on carpet.

Fit perfectly. Such a difference rolling around. Smooth as butter. Tried my chair in another room with short pile carpet squares and was very surprised. I anticipated some rolling resistance, but it was minimal. Should have bought these a long time ago.

Works great on hard floors and thin office rugs. Does not work on deep shag home rugs even if you have plastic chair mat. The wheel will sink into the plastic matt and get stuck. he

Compré este set de ruedas para reemplazar las que vienen por defecto, las típicas ruedas de plástico que se terminan atascando y dañando el suelo.Estas ruedas para mí tienen las siguientes ventajas:- Son de goma, por lo que son muy silenciosas y no dañarán ninguna superficio.- El eje de la rueda se mueve con un rodamiento, por lo que será muy ágil moverse con la silla a la par que suave.- Al ser una única rueda, no se atascará como las normales.Son de construcción muy muy robusta por lo que es posible que duren muchos años.Reemplazarlas es muy sencillo, únicamente sacar las antiguas y poner las nuevas, sin herramientas, sólo con la mano.Aconsejo revisar el diámetro del eje para asgurar que son válidas para tu silla.

Two screwdrivers and two minutes is all it takes to give your old chair a new lease of life and your floor a break from castor abuse. These are an absolute must for laminate flooring as your chair glides silently across it without damaging the surface; the difference is night and day. Two stout, flat bladed screwdrivers on either side of the old castor pin should be enough to prise it out of its socket before pulling free by hand. Check the pin diameter of one of the old castors before purchase: 11mm for standard chairs, or 10mm for Ikea. Well made with bearings throughout, these should last the life of the chair and perhaps find their way onto the next one as well. Worth every penny.
