I installed this onto the top rung set of a telescoping ladder. I like using these for the stability it gives a ladder. Working in the trades for over 30 years I have seen plenty of ladders slide down or to the side. This item was easy to figure out and install. I love how the wheel make rolling it into the back of my car or the bed of a truck very convenient. I keep the top hooks off until I have roof work where I'll need to hang a ladder from a ridge. It seem heavy duty and will not fail.

Super sturdy. First time in my life, I feel extremely confident on a ladder. Was concerned how it would deal with the ridges on a metal roof and because the cushions pivot it was no issue at all. Took a little while to install on a ladder and because all ladders are different involved loosening and re-tightening nuts and bolts numerous times to get it just right. Yes it does stabilize the top of the ladder!!!!!

I would give 4 1/2 stars with the following PROs, CONs, & a tip:PRO: This brace works very well, I feel much steadier while using this brace to go up on my roof. It assembled and attached easily and removed from my ladder easily after use by removing the two "U" bolts, the unit lifts off and stays assembled for storage until next use. The paint seems to be good quality. Using the brace allows me to avoid damaging my rain gutters.CON: A minor issue is it should have included lockwashers (not just flat washers) to keep the bolts from loosening up while using the brace. I also had to be careful with threading the nuts onto the bolts for the first time - a little better machining would make it much easier to thread and not cross-thread.TIP: Get some lockwashers to keep the brace bolts from loosening up and use a socket & ratchet to speed up assembly. Also, ladder storage is tougher if you keep the brace attached because you can't retract the extension ladder. This is an FYI and only matters if you have limited space like I do. (I didn't remove any stars for this since I knew this would happen).Overall I recommend it because of the much-improved safety it provides.

This extension ladder attachment is sturdy and priced fairly! It added so much stability to my ladder I probably shouldn’t have ever been up high without it. I attached it fairly easily in just a few minutes and off I went feeling good and safe while painting that pesky gable

I really wanted to like this because of what it does but on the end of the little giant ladder it’s really heavy and hard to use! Trying to get if off the roof we ended up putting it into the gutter and then getting it off the roof became so hard that we almost put it thru the window! It does what it was supposed to but getting it off the roof became the reason why I probably won’t use it again!

I should have bought one of these years ago? Totally awesome! Makes climbing the ladder very stable and secure!
