Needed a quick kit for my own butterflies. This kit came with the basics, plus two actual butterflies to practice with (very vibrant and colorful - an antenae was off, so perfect to try to reconnect). So excited for this starter package. The frames are plastic and hold butterfly with pressure. I will probably put a few in these but really needed the pins and board. The instructions are not in english - I just watched utube videos.

The quality was lacking for me. I feel like the produce was very easy to use and you do get quite a bit of value for your money. All in all just felt a little cheap and the insects looked like they had been dead since 2004.

The kit came with all the tools you need to pin bugs, including two small butterflies and some frames to diplay them in. But I couldn't read the instructions! Luckily I had taken an entemology class before and watched a couple of videos, so I was still able to use the kit. But just be aware and check out YouTube if you gotta!

Perfect for your future entomologist! The kid loved this, pulled it apart stuck something in my fridge - I think it was some bugs, but I’m not digging deep on that lol - and then started pinning what she termed “cool things” onto pads. She was very happy with this.

For $16 you can't go wrong with this little kit. It comes with everything you need to get started in pinning. It even comes with two small display frames. Everything (aside from the 2 display frames) will fit into the carry case. It's a tight fit though.
