The family of pumpkins and squashes originates from Central-, and South America. They are amongst the oldest, cultivated agricultural plants and over the centuries a multitude of varieties emerged. Despite their firm skin, these pumpkins need not be peeled and have a lovely nutty aroma.the blue-skinned, Italian winter squash 'Marina di Chioggia' (Cucurbita maxima)Italian pumpkin variety with bluish, wrinkly skin and golden yellow, aromatic flesh.the attractive looking 'Buttercup / Turk’s Turban'- pumpkin/squash (Cucurbita maxima)Pumpkin variety with irregularly shaped, decorative fruits and sweet-mild taste.and the aromatic 'Muscade de Provence’-pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata)The French breeding is probably one of the most decorative and delicate Muscat pumpkin varieties. With its particularly sweet and fine aroma, the pumpkin is excellent for desserts, jams and desserts. All seeds in this kit derive from traditional, heirloom vegetable varieties and have been produced exclusively from open-pollination. Therefore all plants will reproduce true-to-seed. The seed sachets and detailed growing instructions in German and English are packed in a beautiful gift box.

I love the packaging, the instructions are not very helpful though - some English would be good. Hopefully I will get some pumpkin, but there is a long way to go until then.

Delightful packaging, good healthy seeds.
This was a perfect gift for my German loving gardening friend who plants all her open vegetables. The instructions are in both German & English which is fun and the packaging is absolutely delightful. She reports that she has kept the box to store plant labels and pens.

Beautiful autumnal presentation seed gift set...
This is a beautifully packaged set from Magic Garden Seeds of pumpkin, gourd and squash seeds. The box could be repurposed once the seeds have been used - and this would be worth doing as it features exquisite line drawings of autumnal flowers and seed pods.Everything here is in both German and English. There are seed cultivation instruction booklets in the two languages along with 2 postcards. The seeds of each of the 5 varieties - 4 squash and one pumpkin - are all separately packaged in individual sachets. They were harvested, the packs show, in 2020 and are large seeds which should keep well.At time of writing, I'm unaware of the price. I would imagine the seeds alone could be purchased for less though - this is very much a gift pack. And as such it would appeal to gardeners. The seeds have been selected both on basis of the appearance and flavour of the end product. If you're trying to find an unusual autumnal or even Halloween gift for gardeners, this presentation set should certainly be a contender.
