Works great without issues
I was initially unsure whether this data-only eSIM would work in China because Chinese government does not allow eSIM with local phone numbers, and there were very few reviews of actual experience of using it in China; but my phone is an iPhone 15 Pro without a physical SIM card slot, I had no other choice if I want to use my phone to get online in China, so I took a chance. Setting up the eSIM was straight forward following the instruction (I forgot if it came in the email or physical delivery). This needs to be done before arriving in China where your phone still has internet access. I did it a few days before the trip, using the claim code coming in the instruction to generate a QR code on their website, then scan the QR code to setup the eSIM in the phone. Then I immediately deactivated this eSIM. Once I arrived in China, I deactivated my US eSIM and activated this China eSIM, and the phone easily found the carrier signal. That's it! I think the clock started from here to count the number of days of usage, but I am not completely certain since I did not stay in China for that long. I went to three cities on the rip, Beijing, Haikou and Hong Kong, and I encountered no connection issues. All the data rate came at 4G. I could access all my US social media and news app/sites. The only time I ran into a problem was at a local restaurant, where I needed to scan a QR code to access the menu and make the order. I just could not open their site using the QR code. I think the reason was due the default search engine setting in my phone web browser. I am guessing the restaurant was not listed under Google or Bing. If had changed the search engine to a local Chinese one, it may have worked. I did not get to test it because my local friends made the order using their phone. One other word of caution is that this is a data only eSIM without a local phone number. Establishing a Chinese mobile payment account (Alipay or We Chat) and making mobile payment will be difficult because real time verification with a local phone number is necessary. For that purpose, I used an older iPhone with physical SIM slot and bought a prepaid SIM card with a local phone number at Beijing airport; but that phone would not be able to access US social media/news app/sites. It was worth effort for me to have both phones to serve different purpose. The mobile payment is so prevalent in China, it can be difficult to make purchases without one, especially ordering ride share service. In the meantime, I wanted to still be able to access my US social media and news. You can also purchase this type of physical SIM cards on Amazon before the trip, there are lots of options. The price difference between buying on Amazon and buying at Beijing airport are small for similar amount of minutes/messages/data. However, you won't be able to purchase data only eSIM once in China, that needs to be done in US before the trip.

The eSIM works well
The eSIM worked well for the areas that I visited. It is 4G and is good for video chat. For iPhone, need to check Data Roaming to use the eSIM service. You can use Google Chrome or google map or check Gmail without VPN.

Does not work!
Very disappointed. Entered product code on weblink as instructed - although the code was written in upper case letters, this was not accepted - had to change to lower case. Then was sent a QR code that did not work! Very stressful to land in a new country and have no sim card.

Works as expected
The eSIM works as expected with no issue and high speed. I stayed in multiple cities in China during the trip, including Hongkong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing. The signal is consistent and it shows China Unicom as the carrier.

20GB data in China
This includes 20GB high-speed data and unlimited low speed data good for 30 days after activation. It uses eSIM and does not include a phone number. So this is not for phone calls or text messages through cellular providers. But it will allow you to check emails or use apps like maps and WeChat. I haven't travelled to China yet, so can not comment on the data speed. Will update later in the summer.

Will use it for my China trip.
Good timing to find this card when I was worried about data usage for my China trip by the end of this month. Seems to be easy to get connected after reading the instruction. Will update the feedback after the trip.
