Above Expectations
The eufy Security 4G LTE Cam S330 has dramatically exceeded expectations, leading to the purchase of four units in total for comprehensive property coverage. The Forever Power solar panel is outstanding, reliably keeping the battery topped up throughout the sunnier spring and summer months. As anticipated in regions with less direct sunlight, the solar charge requires only occasional supplementing during winter, especially for non-south-facing units. The video quality is fantastic, with the camera delivering clear footage across both zoomed and wide-view recordings. Its responsive AI tracking and seamless operation as part of a group camera system work fluidly, providing exceptional peace of mind. While the internal memory is limited, pairing the S330 with the optional HomeBase base station completely resolves this storage concern, making the full package an incredibly versatile and powerful surveillance solution.

Eufy S330 4glte security camera
Excellent cctv security camera. Works off of WiFi and supplied 4g sim card. No cables required for connectivity. Always maintaining 100% charge. After simple activation a sim subscription required. Fitting is very easy. Controlled through the Eufy security app. Very good 4k quality picture. Colour videos in the dark option. Not a bad buy for the price. I paid £151.00

Should be great, except it isn't. It's not 360 motion detection for a start, and plenty of issues.
I have three of these S330 4G PTZ Cameras bought on different dates and each one connected to a different homebase 3 in two very different geographical areas. One is in a normal semi-rural lane, and one house is down own private road in a farm field. The third location does not have this S330 4G PTZ camera. Despite informing Eufy support for other cameras, and being gas lighted and giving up, these are not fit for purpose. They could be the best to buy, BUT they simply ignore Activity Zones even if you put the motion sensitivity down to minimum. It's great at alerting you thousands of times about a microscopic insect moving when set to "All other motion", but misses a great big vehicle within an activity zone coming down a private country lane to the house! Yes, the cameras were carefully installed to the instructions regrading height. You end up having to disable All Other Motion. It's usually hopeless at trying to view a vehicle's number plate down the country lane, even though camera is nearly straight on but at slight angle (as Eufy say to have it this way, not head on). I don't know if it's their image processing that distorts the number plate font, the video picture is crystal clear but you just can't read the number plate unless the vehicle is literally right in front of the lens. This is my experience, and this may work for you in a more constrained area where there are no trees, no bushes, no sun light that moves during the day, no insects flying and you don't expect any reasonable distance in motion detection capability.... Eufy need to get their act together quite frankly, and start testing their cameras and whether activity zones are actually working properly. It's very easy to test themselves. It's not just this product, the E340 door bell camera has activity zone issues, as does the mains wired E340 Floodlight camera. You simply cannot rely on these cameras. I've even submitted video evidence before to show a car light outside of the activity zone and behind an outbuilding sets it off, and videos to demonstrate that "All other motion" means a leaf blowing, or tiniest of insects flying sets it off constantly, regardless of motion sensitivity so you then disable it. Unfortunately, you need this setting ON at night to detect human motion and where the AI can't recognise a person shape or a vehicle shape. If this is off, you miss an event of motion capture completely. I've bought a number of 4K Eufy cameras over past year for 3 locations and bugs have crept in. I should add the the WiFi for 2 of the 3 properties is green zone i.e. NO other access points around and the signal is clean and strong to the cameras. Even in one of the locations, that has other neighbouring access points, the cameras report strongest signal level and the video does not break up. In short, unless Eufy start actually fixing issues, I have lost all faith in them. There is nothing my end I can do to minimise sensitivity and activity zone setup to exclude anything that could move in the wind for example. I spoke to someone at work who is new to Eufy, and they have found similar issues too. Many firmware updates and app updates have gone by, and the same old issues remain. The brand new, revamped app, still has issues deleting videos with iOS devices (latest iOS not some old version). It pretends to, and you get left a blank thumbnail behind or the actual video thumbnail that no longer plays. Then another bug of sometimes not showing the small capture image under the video, or the frustrating issue of trying to draw an activity zone because the developer decided that people have pixie fingers to precisely move the location pins around. If you read this review, say a year after this is published, it's possible Eufy may have fixed some of the issues through updates, so far they haven't though.

Solar
Brilliant camera..make sure you position it where the solar has most sun as won’t keep battery charged otherwise.

Decent quality image but limited solar battery in winter
OK, we’ve had this up and running for around two months now. Located in Cumbria. South facing aspect for the camera, affording the maximum sunlight for the panel. I’m sure come summer it will be fine but we are currently reading to bring it inside every 10 days to recharge the battery. This is December/January. The other thing I would mention is that there is limited information about using a data card other than the excruciatingly expensive option that is included. I’d strongly advise leaving the card that comes with it in the box and taking a trip to your local catalogue shop with the big red sign that begins with A and investing in an 120GB EE Data Only SIM at £60. Set it all up on the WiFi at home, then switch it to 4G when you stick it outside. For the price, this camera is ideal for our requirements and if definitely recommended it. My Brother and Nephew have them on WiFi at their homes and have various cameras linked with the hub. This will be my next move.

Great product
Very happy with quality, ease of install and product. Works well monitoring remote site after a small theft. Does what it says and works well. Purchased a 120G Vodafone sim to go into camera and had no issues setting it up. Instructions are easy to follow and app is easy to use.

Próbować do skutku. Działa zwykła karta SIM operatora w Polsce.
