Got this to replace a broken bolt. It was easy enough, no complaints.

It is plastic so durability is yet to be determined. But I didn't want a latch on the outside of my gate, so this worked perfectly. Looks like a fence from outside, but capable of opening from inside. Lock was a much welcomed bonus.

Very durable and nice looking feature

I picked this up to help keep my new catio secure. After cost of various latches and locks this complete unit seemed like a better deal for my use with a nice simple modern look. What you can't tell from the pictures is this is not just straight front mounted, there is a side mounting panel attached that curves 90 degrees off the front of both the locking unit and bar. They have an inventive way to flip the main lock 180 degrees so you're not stuck with only being able to mount it one way. The bar unit is plenty long so you have a little room to work with on spacing. The biggest problem the side panel creates is that you can not mount the parts any distance from the frame edge, you're stuck with a fixed measurement. For my catio this wasn't a problem since the wood frame is 1.5" inches wide. Luckily I had exactly a .50" inch gap between my door edge and the main frame. This allowed me to mount it as shown with the side panels faced on the inside of the gap (just enough room so they don't brush against each other), for security reasons this keeps the side mounting screws hidden and non-accessible from the outside unless the door is open. Obviously with the front mounting screws facing outward it'd be easy for anyone to just unscrew them to remove the locking unit. Only the side panel on the main lock has flush mounted screw, not sure why they didn't do the same for the bar side, so you end up using the regular screws which bubble above the surface slightly. I didn't expect 100% heavy duty security with this lock, if someone really wanted to get past it they could, but the little bit it does provide for the catio gives me some piece of mind. Works great and looks really nice .

Very simple and easy to install, and durable

Description of item is not thorough at all. It says it will work for “any” gate. This is not true and is false advertising. To make it worse, they do not offer free returns so now I have a junky latch that I can’t use.

Really like these. Easy to install.
