Bought this for my teen who suffers with tonsil stones. It really works and has this great little light wand so you can see the back of the throat. Making it easier to see the stones. It is painless and easy to use. Great value!

I had a huge tonsil stone lodged in one of my tonsils. It didn't hurt that bad, but every time I swallowed, I could feel it. It kinda felt like a tiny pebble in the back of the throat. I tried gurgling with warm water, even tried to use a Listerine soaked q tip to squeeze it out, and none of that worked. I ordered this plunger because it was the cheapest. The moment it was delivered, I grabbed it, opened it and assembled it (I was soooo desperate), turned on my bathroom sink, and waited for the hot water. I filled the plunger with warm water, and sprayed it on the several times. I even choked on the water a couple of times. At first, it didn't work, but after a little less than 2 minutes, I watched the plunger latch right on, and pull the stone right out. I was so relieved when that stone was gone!!! So it did take a few tries, but it worked great!!

This thing sucks as a vacuum for small stones/holes, but works decently for spraying water and rinsing. I have a water pick so I use that but for those who don’t want to spend the money on that, this product works decent for flushing out stones and rinsing your gums. The length of the tool is helpful but I wish the product held more water at the bottom. Good quality, for the money this is a decent water flushing tool. The package also came with the tonsil stone remover tool with a light, which makes it more worth your money because that tool I actually use. But I wish that was mentioned because I bought the tool separately now I have like three of them haha

**Update 11/14/24: After using the suction device a few more times (gargling with warm salty water before and more frequently in general helps immensely!), I had more success.The seller also reached out to offer a full refund (idk if this would remove the review?), which I declined because the topic of tonsil stones is so fraught and upsetting for so many and I wanted to leave an honest update.**I was surprised when this item arrived with an additional “scooper” kit-a small flash lit wand with several lucite attachments for scooping the stones out. I had success using the suction device only once.After a few unsuccessful attempts later, I tried the wand and the tip end of the attachment broke off in my throat. I don’t believe I was using it inappropriately (your gag reflex kind of prevents that). Very distressing and dangerous.The suction device works fine as an irrigator. I will try it again at some point, but was honestly very put off by the experience.

I've been using this for about a week now. The suction power is great and it will easily suck up any dislodged stones which are just hanging out in your throat. However the tube opening is far too big to center on the stones which having broken loose yet. It's a good idea, but not as useful as it could be.The little probe kit that comes with it is mostly useless. The light-up wand is too dim to be useful. The tools kind of work for pushing out stones, but I would have preferred they were more rigid.As someone who has been dealing with tonsil stones for decades, I mainly found this product to be a letdown.

I, too, hurriedly opened this upon arrival and prepared myself to go to battle with a stubborn tonsil stone. All I could do in the days awaiting arrival was fantasize about sucking that stone out with the suction bulb. The moment arrived. I filled the bulb with salt water and awkwardly placed it where I thought the stone was (the tiny white head of the stone had been taunting me for days in the mirror, far, far back in my throat). Without a light source, though, it was really guess work because the suction tube is so big. I desperately squirted and sucked. I could feel suction on the tonsil, but the stone wouldn't budge! Thank god for the additional tools that come with this item, i.e., the lighted pickers. Genius. In just a few moments, I managed to force that filthy stone out of its hiding place and hock it into the sink in triumph and disgust. After a few relieved breaths, I immediately gargled with salt water to sooth my traumatized tonsil and then sterilized the tools for next time, if there is one. Having a visible tonsil stone that would not come out despite poking with Q-tips and gargling until my neck hurt absolutely freaked my freak. Just having this tool in my possession gives me such peace of mind. Next time, I'll be ready.

Just ok for the price. The opening is small so doesn't really create the suction you need.Tears apart for cleaning.
