More Crank Bros quality
These are my third pair of Crank Brothers pedals ... I have them on each of my bikes and have been using them without problems for at least a decade. I started with the original 'eggbeaters' which are still in use on my mountain bike. The forerunner of these Candy's went on my first hybrid (on which I've ridden thousands of km), and these Candy 1's have been fitted to my first eBike. They arrive nicely boxed (good enough to be gift wrapped if needed) together with a set of the cleats. Note that these are not interchangeable with SPD-type cleats/pedals. I've done a few hundred kilometres on these and they have performed faultlessly. I expect them to continue for years. Unlike the original eggbeaters, you can only clip into the Candy's on two faces of the pedal, but the connection is secure and the float - determined by the cleats - is more than enough to avoid knee problems. The cleats tend to wear and I've probably replaced a couple of sets over the last decade, but that's a small price to pay for the ease of engaging them and heir mud/much shedding capabilities. I walk around in the mud in my cycling shoes and have had very few problems with them being too clogged to engage. When, or more likely IF, they pack up and wear out I'll buy another pair. Highly recommended.

Very good xc pedals.
I love that there's no adjustment for the springs, a different cleat is required to tune how you like the release, they come with easy release cleats (perfect stating point). The float (how much your foot can move before release) has a great feel compared to the other industry standard (SPD) which can feel very restricted and I believe this is why many people can't commit to clipless. The only downside is that they can be a bit fragile, I've used nearly all models of crankbrothers clipless pedals and I've broken most of them but in crashes you'd expect something to brake (I'd also like to point out I ride more than most and brutalise my equipment), all replacements parts available and it's better braking a pedal than bending crank arms

Lightweight ish pedal for price
Pedals are a decent price for a lightish spec compared to others. Was tempted by some other more expensive ones but decided to give these ago. There’s enough pedal there as well if you need to just jump on your bike in a set of trainers. You’ll most likely need a the plate to protect your shoes if you use these pedals, and those are a separate purchase.

Easy to use
Easy to use and pretty light. You can use with recessed cleats (on spd type shoes).

Great pedals
I swapped from Time Pedals to these and took a little while to warm to them. On the turbo trainer, they don't make much sense having four sides of entry, but outside they are fabulous. Very easy to use, with good release tension. Perfect for beginners or more advanced riders, with nice support for shoes that are not fully rigid. It is also possible to get a full rebuild kit including all bearings and bushings, which sadly SRAM (who now own Time Pedals) could not offer on my pedals, hence why I changed to these.

Cheap, light and reliable.
Light, good quality and great price. Long-term durability is perhaps questionable if you use off road, but for my road going adventures I don’t foresee a problem. The only weakness is perhaps the plastic screw-in bearing cover - but easily upgradeable to alloy on a pedal refurbishment (see Crank Bros servicing kit). The light weight and quality for the price trumps the more expensive but more durable alloy versions.

Well designed, functional pedals for pretty much any use
These are consistent, solid yet lightweight pedals. Once they've settled it, you can slot your cleats on from any angle, making finding the connection much easier. The mini platform, however, means you can pedal around without clicking on, say if you're hoping on and off frequently.

I've had their last generation candys and loved them, I decided to get a new pair to match my bikes paint. I think they are a great value for the price.
