This ring light was easy to install (only took 10 minutes to put everything together and connect it to my phone), has excellent light quality, and the remote control is an extremely helpful addition that I have already used while creating content. I'm new to creating social media content, but this has made the job so much easier. The knobs for regulating light temperature and brightness are very intuitive, and the ring itself looks smart and sturdy. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to create content or even shoot product photography.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Wish I bought this ring light much earlier. This is my go-to light for most shoots - portraits, groups, selfies, videos, products… The light is diffuse and shadows are soft. I previously used the flat panels with soft boxes but they are less convenient to carry around, to set up and more difficult to get the desired effect. This light, its power unit and tripod fit conveniently in carrying case, which makes it easy to carry around. Very happy with this purchase.

On first impression, this ring light is far superior than my old one. The tripod base is solid, and easily packs away into the bottom of the carry bag. The dials make adjustments easy, and the ring light itself is very thin. The lowest brightness is more than adequate on a regular day, and in total it takes less than 3 minutes to set up.

The phone attachment arrived and the pin was so tightly screwed in that I couldn't unscrew it to slot it into the bracket. The light is very good and a good range of colour/brightness but the stand feels a little bit flimsy. Carry case is really handy. Arrived quickly. A good lamp but not quite worth the money that I spent on it

One thing I really like about this brand is that they seem to listen to feedback and improve on their products constantly. This set is a nice one that includes and 18" light, a stand and a carry case as well as some other attachments. The light is large and even. 45W isn't the most powerful, but I think it does the job most of the times for video. I tried taking a selfie with this in front of the window with the rising sun behind me and it was able to provide enough light on my face that the phone could properly expose the background and my face was visible as well. The resulting ring catchlight is up to personal preference, some love it some don't. The stand that comes with it folds up to a compact size. I really like this stand. I own a few neewer stands the cheap ones, and they are not very good. This one is a marked improvement over those. Thicker coloumn, better release mechanism and all together sturdier desing. It's more than enough for this light, which should be used indoors only as there is no battery connection on it. There is a phone clamp and small ball head included both of which can slide in the middle of the light via a cold shoe mount. I wouldn't trust the ball head with anything bigger than a compact camera though, it doesn't seem very durable. There is also a little wireless trigger that can connect to your phone via bluetooth. I really like that all of this can be stashed away in the carry case that has got a shoulder strap as well. Setup takes a good 2 minutes, once you know how it's done. The light can connect to your phone via the app, but I don't see too much use in this. You can use the phone to set the light intensity and temperature and update the firmware wirelessly, and that's it. The knobs on the light are so nice though that I would just stick to those and use them. By the way, minimum brightness is excellent, if you only need a little bit of a fill light this light will do a great job at that without overpowering the ambient light. I think it's a very nice set at a good price but everyone has different needs and expectations so trying this light is highly recommended to the buyer to see if it fits their needs.

I can't really fault this ring light - it's incredibly easy to set up, even for a novice, and the lighting levels and effects are fantastic. It's fantastic quality throughout and a good, sturdy, well-built piece of photography equipment. My teenage daughter makes and shares many cosplay pictures online and this has been a game changer for her, allowing her to take more professional looking pictures and videos with ease. I've also been using it for a spot of family photography and I'm blown away by how great my photos look :) The ring light is so easy to set up. As a novice, I was initially worried it might be a bit technical, but I had everything set up within minutes. It's just as easy to take apart and everything stores compactly in the large, sturdy carry bag (this features both hand and shoulder straps). The light can be extended to quite a large height and as the ring can be positioned at different angles, it makes it great for taking photos from above too. The range of lighting and different lighting effects for videos can be achieved easily via the app that connects via Bluetooth to the ring light. The app isn't essential for using the light, however it's a must if you want access to the full range of effects. The lighting can also be controlled manually via the 2 dials on the back - one controls the light level, whilst the other alters the lighting through various bright white levels to warmer tones. The lighting range goes from soft and dimly lit, to very (very) bright white lighting. The Bluetooth controller is great for taking selfie photos via the phones camera. It features one button control and is nicely responsive. The phone holder will happily hold a phone of all sizes - it turns to allow the phone to be positioned in either portrait or landscape position (or anything in-between), plus it bends to allow the phone to be held in the best position for your photo. There's standard positioning for regular SLR cameras too. Overall it's a fantastic piece of kit - the lighting range and effects are amazing, plus it's compact, easy to transport and extremely user friendly.
