What a great product!
Having tried 3 allegedly good chargers on a bank of 3 12v leisure batteries in parallel, none of them could give me a decent charge. Plugged this bad boy in and watched the voltage shoot up (and saw the amperage hitting 17amp on stage 3!), and the display told me what was going on and is sorting out the issues - 3 chargers and none of them (3.8amp, 4amp and 6amp) knew what to do (yes, one of them was an "intelligent" charger) - got this one and saw a noticable difference immediately. So impressed me, I have ordered the 24v 20Amp version to help the 240v PV circuit battery bank.....I'll rate that when it arrives....Great product, people, you get what you pay for...

It works well but interferes with short-wave radio - not a problem for most users.
It does the job well enough. It generates some short-wave radio frequency interference so a different model might be better if this is an issue for you.

Motorhome charger
Bought to replace motorhome charger.Charged and restored my leisure battery which my last charger couldn’t manage.Has a second output that I’m contemplating running to the van battery so that gets some love whilst on EHU.Was a simple install other than location. Did this DIY with some basic knowledge of electrics.I fitted an inline fuse/breaker on the off chance.

Best by far!
This is an awesome product. I have used so many "intelligent" chargers in the past that have not always gone to float mode at the end of the charge, and ended up seriously boiling my battery acid. This one does exactly what it says - checks the battery state when turned on and enters the appropriate mode. After charging it says "End" and remains in float mode keeping the batteries happy.

Charges my auxiliary battery's fully.
I was a bit sceptical about this product after some negative views but upto now, it has worked perfect for me, my auxiliary battery's on my campervan have never been as fully charged my alternator doesn't charged very well and the built in Sergeant control unit in my van isnt very good at charging fully. When I'm at home or on hookup I use this unit, the unit shows you the voltage that your battery is accepting and stops charging after the battery is fully charged. Yes would recomend.

ORDER extra clamps or nuts to connect charger to battery terminals.
The battery charger is not the cheapest and for this price, you expect better. The instructions are VERY poor:1. No instructions as to how the leads connecting charger to battery are inserted into charger.2. And worse, the all-important polarity is not emphasized. It's assumed you know.3. Clamps or crocodile clips are NOT included. At the very least you have to find some nuts, eg., wing nuts of correct size to connect with battery terminals.4. Batteries have at least three different technologies: GEL, AGM or WET and the charger has these three settings, so it's advisable to ask what type of battery you have when you buy one.5. Unbelievably, there's no handle.6. On the PLUS side: the machine charges quickly and fits snugly into my particular car with bonnet, (USA; hood), closed.I don't like constantly complaining about Chinese-made products, but it happens far too often; importers and retailers also have some responsibility. Maybe Amazon could establish better quality control?PWAnother potential customer has asked my opinion - which is don't buy it. The connections are not convenient to use for a standard car battery. There aren't the usual crocodile clips. I'd recommend a 12amp 12v Ring Charger for a car battery.PW.

Great quality and confident with its abilities
Decent charger for the cost, when you compare it to other multi stage chargers that are more than double the price it lacks all the fancy Bluetooth and WiFi features, but who cares, you connect it and forget it, it's a high amperage and has intelligent programs. The only gripe I had was the cable quality/sizes and lack of inline fuse on the positive cable. I swapped out for a better quality cable and used a 30A fuse, all of which I had lying around, but even if I didn't it would be worth it

*DO NOT BUY, COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY*
This is my first ever review on amazon however this time I feel I have to write a review to warn potential buyers about this charger (20a). I have finally had time to test the charger. The first time I used it seemed to work OK? however the next time I tried it skipped the charging stages and stated the battery had completed the charging process which didn't seem right! I let the battery settle for a day and as I thought the battery was only showing 12.4v? I have done further tests on separate batteries with the same result. I then tried charging the batteries with a different (4a maypole smart charger) and the batteries have charged perfectly concluding that the 20a photonic universe charger is (as I suspected) faulty. I contacted photonic universe who were no help whatsoever so I am now left with a £95 paperweight. I was initially going to buy a ctek as other people had suggested but I thought that I would take a gamble with this as other reviews seemed positive, I now wish that I had taken the advice of others as it would have saved me £95. Anyway lesson learnt, I will certainly not buy anything from photonic universe again and would advise other people to steer clear. I understand that I may have been unlucky with my unit however the customer service was shocking and no help whatsoever.
