WAVE CEPTOR WVA-M630D-2A2JF Men's Wristwatch, Solar Powered

This has been my favorite model of watch for over a decade, maybe two decades plus. I love the analog face with the digital inserts. But probably the best feature is the solar power, so a battery replacement is never needed. The satellite time feature does not work in my area (Northern Calif.) so that's not been important to me. But it doesn't matter because the watch keeps excellent time. The instructions are rather convoluted. I have to keep it digital copy on my phone so I can figure out how to reset the watch whenever I go to a different time zone or adjust daylight savings. I suppose if the satellite connection feature was more broadly available, it could do this automatically, but not for me. The light is rather dim, but the fluorescent hands make up for it. Regardless, for those who like the look of this watch and its features, it will likely prove to be rocksolid and reliable, and a long-term keeper!

Casio makes great watches, however I have been unable to get the band adjusted,, took it to 3 jewelry stores and none of the three cound adjust the band. It is unworkable for me so I bought another watch.

Casio Wave Ceptor with black face and metal band. Replaced 10yo similar model after the old one could not auto adjust to DST change. Two improvements suggested (1) provide link to English instructions on adjustment of the segmented metal wrist band and (2) mention that the wristband may have a nearly invisible plastic coating that must be removed before adjustment. The new band is a real improvement over the old one as it is very easy to adjust without disassembly once the plastic film is removed.

No instructions to adjust watch band. The Japanese manual that came with it had a picture of a different type of bracelet. I sent a note to vendor to help, but I was able to figure it out. It is a great watch otherwise and upgrading my review to 4.

This is a major pain to set and adjust the band. It was discontinued a few years ago and an English instruction sheet is not really available. Terrible value.

[Cons] At this price point, none. [Future suggestions] - Timex Indiglo-type uniform blue light would be cool? - Illuminate the digital window as well? - Make the digital window bigger or fonts bolder for hyperopic eyes?

The watch is well-made and reliable. It fits well on the wrist.

Watch operation is not intuitive nor user friendly. The instructions were written in some Asian (Chinese or Japanese) language which made them useless to an English speaking customer. It would be helpful if owner's manuals were written in a language appropriate for the purchaser's geographic location. Attempting to find usable information at Casio.com or YouTube only added to the frustration.

ソーラー電波でカレンダー付きを探してました。青色の文字盤はなかなかなかったので見つけられて嬉しいです。メタルバンドが重すぎたので自分で革バンドに交換しました。本体含めめちゃくちゃ軽いので付けてるかどうかわからないくらい軽いです。夜もよく光ります。
