The GAN 356 rubik's cube is stellar in both the materials its made out of and magnetism allowing swift rotating action to solve the cube quicker at a professional game play level. Its meant to be a challenge yet compact enough to fit in the palm of the hand. Cube blocks are UV coated and polished down to a silky smooth feeling resisting oil and stains. Each side of the cube has matching color coding in vibrant hues. Carrying velvet pouch is a nice touch alongside the snap fit enclosure to keep it well protected in a travel size. Two things matter, first its magnets are precision engineered into the casing of each Rubik's cube block lifting and creating a slim separation MagLev layer reducing friction while solving the puzzle but comes at the tradeoff of snapping together. Cube maintains its shape with minimal 3 to 4 degree offset of flex during gameplay exercises. Overall I couldn't be happier using the MagLev 356 type 3x3 speed cube to solve challenging exercises as its magnetic actuation mechanism rotates fluidly and its polished down rubiks blocks feel smooth on rounded edges.

GAN cubes are the best Magnetic cube features smooth, speedy, effortless action for both casuals and experts. Tension was perfect out of the box but is even adjustable. Build quality is fantastic, the official cube is cheap in comparison

This is a decent cube - it turns smoothly and fast. For me it’s a little too loose and fast so I have to be very careful that I don’t overturn it. It’s a good cube to learn on, but as you get faster it takes a lot of energy to not overturn it.

This is a nice, sturdy cube with adjustable tightness to make it easier for speed solving. It came with a hard case, fabric bag, and a special tool and instructions for loosening/tightening. I am impressed with the quality of everything and think it will provide my son with hours of fun!
