Overall nice product in terms of eqsy installation and app inteface, but wall plate could be better to keep unit tight as it wobbles when shade operated.

Worked well and installation was straightforward. Would like more information on integration with smart home hubs to be available pre-purchase. (Smartthings/Google Home)

I purchased three shades + the Ryse SmartBridge to act as a hub. This combo allows me to control my shades through Siri via Apple HomeKit. So far they’re working perfectly, with fast and relatively quiet opening/closing, an intuitive mobile app, and so far flawless smart home integration. I’ve tried a number of other smart shade solutions, most recently Soma SmartShades 3, and this one is the best so far!

Strongly Advise you DO NOT Purchase! Severely disappointed with both the product and customer service. Prior to purchasing the Ryse Smart Shade, I contacted customer support via chat and could not have been more please with the service that I received. That changed once I bought their product. Availability is limited, response time is poor and dedication to customer satisfaction is barely existent. There is consistent loss of Bluetooth connectivity with every initiation to use the shades via the app. At first this was simply an annoyance, until the product failed to respond to the command via the app and then completely malfunctioned by bypassing the set position at a speed that drastically differed from the speed set. This caused the bead connectors to be forced through the sprocket on my shades, breaking the sprocket and chain in 2 places. I was unable to reach anyone in customer support until the following day which left my shades completely open without the ability to close them and exposed to all. I do not expect for the company to guarantee that there will not be issues but I do expect for them to take the necessary steps to avoid major issues and costly damages to personal property if the option is available. Unfortunately , that is not the path that Ryse chose to take in my case. Since the issue had been determined (app and product failure/malfunction) the solution was an easy one. Using a bead splicer, an option detailed in the set up instructions, to avoid having to use bead connectors, would prevent damaging my custom shades and chain should the app and device fail again. I requested that a bead splicing tool be sent to me so that I could have the smart shades set up again once the damage to my shades was repaired. I was told that they were going to charge me for the tool plus, $20 for shipping and insisted they that I have a video call with someone to troubleshoot. There was no need to troubleshoot, as the issue had been determined and I was shocked that they would charge me for both the tool and shipping given the situation and the amount of money that their faulty product has caused in damages. I am disabled and do not have the time or the ability to video call, especially since it wasn’t necessary. They claim that their product is I ADA compliant which I will be looking into further and challenging if need be. In addition, in order to use the option to connect with Alexa and voice controls is only available if you purchase their SmartBridge for an additional $79.99. In a time where most devices are compatible with Alexa, Apple, Google, etc., this product truly falls short by not having the abilities fully integrated. Also, requiring an additional purchase of $50 to operate the shades with a remote is in poor taste. This product is great in theory, but has been done very poorly.
