I've been struggling with balanitis for years, my glans are red and painful to touch and my foreskin gets very tight, not able to peel back. I started applying this ointment to my glans and my foreskin, twice a day, and fir the first time in a long time, my foreskin is able to peel back from my glans. If this isn't working for you, you don't have balanitis and you need medical attention from a doctor. I have a very severe case of balanitis and this is actually helping me, it hasn't cured my symptoms but it's showing signs of improvement.

So, I really wanted this to work. I’m more of a “buy natural” than going the western medicine route. That said, this was bad. Here’s my 10 day story with it.- Originally purchased this to help with balanitis that I’ve had on and off for many years. Mine personally did not itch or hurt, but was visible. This was a cosmetic purchase more than anything else. (Occasionally, after sex, my balanitis would flare up, but otherwise I didn’t know it was there unless I was looking.)- On my first application, I rubbed it all over the head, immediately after shower and drying.- Five or six hours later, I noticed a hard crust that had formed in a small spot on the head. It was a white-gray color, and I thought maybe it was just killing the yeast.- Later that night, I tried to scrub the crust off in the shower. It wouldn’t come off. It was my skin, not a crust.- The “crusty spot,” by day two, hurt. I again figured this was just part of the process. The pain, on a scale of 1-10, was only about a 5 or 6, and it was only with touching or direct contact (couldn’t really feel it otherwise).- On day two or three, on the other side of the head, away from the crusty spot, I developed five or six whitehead-like pimples. These were very tender, and I immediately stopped putting the ointment on that side of the head.- The main area where I had balanitis did appear to clear some. Not completely, but it helped.- I stopped putting the lotion on the crusty spot after the third or fourth day, but continued putting it everywhere I saw results for a total of ten days.- After ten days, I gave up. The spots it helped cleared weren’t cleared entirely. The crusty spot hurt. The whiteheads that had formed — I had never had them before — were also still tender and unsightly. I purchased this to help cosmetically, and 10 days later I looked way worse.- Visited my urologist and he prescribed me a steroid cream. Within two days, balanitis was completely gone. Whiteheads still hung around, as did the white crust, though it was less tender.- Went to a dermatologist, per the recommendation of my urologist, to have the white spot examined (the urologist had already clarified that, while not nice to look at, the pimple-like white-heads were harmless, and would eventually fall off). The dermatologist thought it was an STD, did a swab of the site (which hurt like hell) and also drew blood to test for STDs.- After a week, the tests were completed. No STDs, but tested positive for bacteria and staph. Was given a topical and oral antibiotic. The whiteheads have since fallen off, and I’m on the path to recovery.- Summary: This stuff stinks. It solved one problem while creating two more... two problems I had never had in my life in that area.My advice? Go to a doctor, get a steroid cream, and avoid what I went through. Not mentioned here is that if the bacteria results came back negative, it was going to be a biopsy from there. Given the location, that biopsy was going to require anesthesia and me physically being put down.I love holistic, but won’t try it in that area again.

Did not work for me. Actually caused burning and worsening of symptoms on 1st use. I bought this because of the natural oils to alleviate the dryness, but the additional ingredients caused the bad reaction with the chafed skin is what I understand. Ended up going to the doctor to get tested and help mitigate symptoms.Might work for others, did not work for me.Seller refunded the purchase.

My young intact son complained his p***s hurt, the next day it was very swollen and red, from tip to base. No fever or discharge. He had two large smegma pearls under the skin but cannot retract to clean that out as he is too young. I read online that can get infected sometimes. I didn't have this particular product at first - I have the 3x max strength antibacterial terasil ointment. I got some Bacitracin on advice from my sister in law who's son's hospital urologist recommended Bacitracin be used when intact soreness begins. I started using that but it didn't seem to work very well (too weak?? so much is pharmaceutical abx resistant nowadays). So I mixed Bacitracin WITH the terrasil max strength. I also read online that Epsom salt baths/soaks can even be more effective than antibiotics (someone's personal testimony online). So he also did Epsom salt baths/or soaks in a cup 2x a day. And LOTS of hydration, lots of vitamin c, vitamin d3, probiotic foods, and kidney/bladder friendly herbal teas like dandelion root, burdock root, and nettle leaf, seakbuckthorn juice. After every time he peed, we applied the Bacitracin and Terrasil mixture. Within a day, the inflammation/pain was receeding and he suddenly had a tremendous discharge (I think it was the smegma pearls being drawn out), about 24 hours after starting epsom salt soaks. The next day was massively improved (like 50%), and a final discharge of white. The pearls are gone. After about 4 days of doing this, he is virtually back to normal. I think that is amazing! Obviously if something is extremely wrong, or you can't pee, or are feverish and all that, do seek medical help. But this hadn't gotten to that point yet. We are now using this product since it arrived. I will keep it on hand. We stormed Heaven for an answer and I believe our prayers were answered double time! I hope our protocols will help someone else out who might read these product comments. I will also cross post on the terrasil other product we started out using.However, I do have to say, the size of the tube is soooooo small. This is a slightly less concern to me despite the massive price because the surface area of application is small in our case. But for an adult male to be repeatedly applying this product for infection relief, I think it should be a tube of cream 3 times larger in order to get him thru one complete period of treatment.
