Most amazing unboxing experience and great keycap set!
This is by far one of the best surprises I have had in a long long time! I got the Portico 75 as an impulse buy during black friday (59.99$) even though I had a fully built Q1. Now, once it arrived, I lubed/filmed some AKKO POM brown switches, and threw on the MT3 keycaps that I already had on it. However, it felt very similar in aesthetics and feel to my Q1 as the MT3 keycaps have a very distinct sound signature, and everything felt similar to the Q1 (similar build with linear switches and MT3 keycaps). I longed to make the Portico different, and ordered the AKKO Black & Cyan keycaps because I loved owning the POM brown and rose red switches from the same company. I did not really expect to be surprised since I am very particular about the feel of the keycaps. I spend long hours coding everyday, and I have am very specific about how I want the keycaps to feel. I don't really care about the aesthetics, and prefer everything to be darker. These arrived, and from the moment I opened the Amazon box, it was once amazing surprise after another. 1. Unboxing: The unboxing experience is something else. I had GMK keycaps that cost almost 4 times this set, and also MT3 keycaps from Drop. However, this unboxing experience blew me away! It comes with a solid case, extra keycaps, and everything that you might possibly need to build out your keyboard. I cannot stress how satisfying the unboxing experience is! If only I could, I would order another set just for the unboxing experience, and how well everything is packaged! 2. Compatibility: I have the Portico75, which is a 75% keyboard, and the set. had everything that I would possibly need. Only thing I would say is I don't think this would fit the split keyboards and I wish AKKO would provide the split spacebars, since it's a real shame that you would not be able to use these because of that one reason. 3. Profile/Comfort: This is the ASA profile, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Since I have been using the MT3 for about a year and a half, I expected that it would take me a few days/weeks to get used to the keys. However, it took me less than a couple of seconds (and I imagine it would be the same for anyone who touch types!) 4. Aesthetics: I don't think there's anything wrong with the aesthetics. The legend is perfect. I cannot find anything wrong. If I was to look with a magnifying glass and rulers, maybe a couple are just millimeters off center, but that's about it. I am not a backlight user, I prefer everything to be dark and lit by the light bar above the monitor, so I can't really comment about the backlighting. I don't think they are shine through. 5. Sound: Now, this is really subjective, and it depends on a variety of things like the build, the plate that you are using, the switches, type of switches, etc. But I can say one thing, on my build (tape mod + lubed & filmed switches), they sound amazing! They have a glassy, deep, marbly sound profile, and I am completely blown away. I am trying hard to find something wrong with the keycaps so I can go spending money again (like everyone in this hobby!!!), but I cannot. I don't think I need to order any more keycaps, and I definitely know where I might get my next set if I ever need one! If you are on the fence, and are just waiting to buy these keycaps, I would say they are worth every dollar you would spend on them, and more! If you are okay with the ASA profile, and want a good, well built and well packaged set of keycaps, look no further! Thanks AKKO for providing the enthusiasts with a keycap set that's priced 1/4th of the GMK keycaps, and look and feel amazing!

Wonderful texture, beautiful to look at, just a really great set of keycaps
This was my first time replacing my keycaps on my mechanical keyboard. I told myself for the longest time that the keys that came with my keyboard was just fine, and I didn't have to shell out a ton of extra money just for something like that... But then I saw the Akko Dracula's Castle keycaps and just had to have them. They looked awesome, I've been a fan of the book (and the Hammer Horror as well as Universal classic Dracula films) ever since I was little. The extra keycaps of candles and castles and bats and ghosts just ticked my goth heart, I had to have them. Originally I was taken aback at the price, but I figured it would be worth it, they just looked so cool. So I got them, and since I'd never replaced my keycaps before, it took my a bit of time to get used to it. I also kept accidentally putting some keys on upside down or backwards. Ooops! Thankfully, super easy to fix. After installing them, and then using them...WOW. Not only are they a good looking set of keycaps, they are a joy to type on. I had no idea that the texture would be so interesting. They don't feel like plastic keycaps, the way they textured them, they feel more like ceramic, if that makes sense. Very high quality feeling to them, just a joy to type on. Even the sound is better than the default ones I'd originally had on this...more deep and pleasant and less tinny and pingy. Very happy with my purchase. I also like that since there are so many unique icon based keycaps, other boards that use this exact same set of keys might not look the same as mine. And they might not use the same board, or the same switches (brown, though I might swap them out for blues at some point? I don't know. But I do like the brown switches. I'm not a gamer, though, I'm a writer, so the browns are perfect for typing away)... But these things combine make it so that this keyboard is unique to me. I like that. In a way, it's one of a kind. The picture is of my Dracula keyboard hanging out with my Edward Gorey illustrated Dracula

Love these Akko keycap sets!
I purchased both the Los Angeles and the Black & Pink set after someone showed me their own Akko keycaps (Cherry profile, Neon). I must say - these keycaps are certainly worth their asking price, and the nice thing is that they'll always be available! No groupbuy shenanigans. These come packaged with a cardboard sleeve and a plastic case, which essentially has these "stems" to mount the keycaps not in use. The fitment is a little tight, but that ensures the keycaps will stay in place when you close the case. While I have nothing against the cardboard boxes with typical clear plastic trays that come with most keycap sets, these are really nice for storage and organization purposes. The ASA profile is interesting. Another review mentioned that they're sculpted similarly to SA, but at OEM height. I'd say this is an accurate description - aesthetically they look great too. Printing/lettering is consistent, and I've had no issues with the molding either. Akko has been coming out as a great name brand, from their prebuilt keyboards, to these nice keycap sets, to their value-oriented switches... I'm very pleased with my purchases so far.

Pretty good. Very unique.
These were my first taste of the ASA profile, and I really like it, but I immediately moved to the generic ASA profile keycaps you can find on Amazon for less, and I love them much more. These may be what you want, though: Technically, they're 'spherical' caps, but most of the tops are almost flat. It's pretty nice compared to OEM, as you can slide your fingers across the keys more intuitively without accidental inputs. I love the ASA profile, as it's a spherical keycap that remains very similar to the OEM profile. Other, more sculped profiles such as Drop's MT3 or Hyekit's SA have too much of a sculpted angle, and take a lot of getting used to if you like OEM or Cherry. Other spherical profiles, such as CSA or YSA have larger faces, kind of like laptop keys, so it's too easy to make accidental inputs. ASA is the only spherical profile that maintains that familiar OEM placement and size, and it's the most comfortable for me. These are definitely pbt, at least the outer layer, but the pbt is harder and thinner than many other pbt caps. They remind me a lot of Tai-hao pbt, which is thin, hard and high pitched. The Akko's sound is ok, not as deep or thocky as other keys this size, and higher pitched. Some people will like this, but they don't "thock" like thicker, softer pbt or premium abs. Since the PBT is harder than others, I experience a bit more discomfort in my fingertips when they're in a keyboard that is made to bottom out (which is most of them these days). When I switch from these to my Mistel pbt or my generic abs caps, I can immediatly feel increased comfort with the softer materials. Still, the Akko ASA is a very nice set overall, and it comes with all they keys most enthusiasts will need. The texture is what you'd expect in a modern pbt cap: grainy with slight grip, overall pleasant to glide your fingers across. My biggest gripe is that some of the characters are very slightly offset to the right. You don't see it in photos or from a distance, but it's immediately noticable when you look down at the keyboard while using it. It's only a tiny offset, something that will only trigger perfectionists (which are a lot of keeb lovers). The legends themselves are impeccable, no errors or variation. There's just a tiny offset to some of the more vertical characters. The case is very nice, but I wish it contained all of the keys. Instead, I still keep everything in the original shipping box to keep the entire collection in one place. Still, it's very cool, and I could see how people will like storing their primary keys in it and leaving the rest in storage. Akko needs to glue the steel pieces of the magnetic catch, they keep sticking to the magnets. I still use these keycaps sometimes, but I've mostly moved to the generic ASA keycaps you can find on Amazon for less than half the price of these. They're sold by those vendors with silly names, and sometimes called pbt (because that's what sells), but they are actually premium abs. They're softer, thockier, more attractive, and they have a deeply dished spherical top with an excellent smooth finish that feels very classy. I would say they're better for me in all ways, except none of them come in a completely dark colorway, so users who prefer modern and understated will like the look of the Akko's much more. I recommend that you buy a set of these, and also buy a set of the generic ASA caps (their classiest colorway is Rome). Both the Akko and the generic ASA are premium keycaps, just in very different ways. Try em both and return what you don't like. I promise it's worth the effort. Neither is better than the other, despite the price.

ASA profile is somehow my favorite.
i've had a lot of keycaps on a lot of keyboards throughout my time in this hobby. i started with cheap stuff from tai-hao to replace the no-name OEM keycaps that came on my first couple of keyboards. they were pretty nice, definitely a step up in quality. eventually i bought myself a set of DSA caps off amazon from NPKC and fell in love with the spherical shape of the keys; pretty soon i was in deep, having shelled out $175 for a set of doubleshot ABS (black on white if you must know) DSA caps from signature plastics. i thought i'd reached the pinnacle of keycap design... until i tried SA. SA had a far more satisfying sound with my preferred switches (box blacks at the time), and my set of maxkey leviathan caps which took approximately 6 months to arrive from KBDfans replaced the SP caps as my version of the pinnacle of all keycaps. i love DSA, SA, and cherry profile, though, so after buying a really worn out set of GMK laser caps from a college buddy of mine i came to a conclusion: while the spherical shapes of DSA and SA were more satisfying to my fingertips, they were either far too short or far too tall. i found cherry profile significantly reduced my wrist strain compared to SA, and was roughly on par with DSA, albeit easier to navigate. enter ASA profile keycaps: yes, i know they're slightly higher than cherry profile, but they are far more comfortable than SA profile for my tiny man hands, not to mention they retain the spherical shape. plus these keycaps are double-shot PBT with surprisingly good legends- definitely not as sharp or consistent as SP or GMK caps, but 85% of the way there i'd say. and the colors. oh, the colors! this set is in the 'miami nights' colorway that i've been drooling over since i first stumbled across it years ago, except for half the price i'd pay for enough SA caps in the same colorway to cover my GMMK Pro. i also ordered the rip-off laser ones because i find this profile far more satisfying to type on than cherry... blasphemy, i know. ordering a knockoff of the GMK set of caps you already own? at A THIRD of the price? it's downright sacreligious, borderline psychopathic, and almost definitely a waste of money. but you know what? my fingers are happy. plus these caps sound good as hell with every switch i've tried under them. will update with a sound test when my box pinks show up because i imagine that they will sound delectable with these caps. as much as it pains me to say it i'm a sucker for a good chinese knockoff of an expensive product, and this is the best example i have of exactly that.

Best Keycaps for the price, quality, and convenience!
I love akko and their products. I own two sets of keycaps and multiple switches for them. In my opinion, they are the best bang for your buck in terms of quality and price. The legends on the keycaps are printed perfectly and they're all centered, which I prefer. I hate offset legends on keycaps. On top of that, they are shipped with all the caps for a 100% board plus novelty keys and extras if you have a Mac. Mine came with Mac replacement keys as well as ANSI replacement keys. Their packaging blows gmk out the water. Another upside of akko is that their keycaps are in stock. I'm not waiting months or years to receive a keycaps set. Purchasing through Amazon also makes shipping faster. Waiting for keycaps from Aliexpress is such a pain and half the time, you don't really know what you're getting. That's just ridiculous. These akko keycaps have really put the icing on the top of my keyboard build. I love this company because of their affordable and quality products. I can afford to spend $1k+ on a keyboard, but why when the quality exists at price points like this. Only gripe I have with akko is that they discontinued their 'Miami midnight' keycaps sets, which I think would have been their best selling. The keycaps are on a Id80v2 with U4T switches.

Great set
I love so much about these key caps. They look great. Nice contrast, nice surface finish, and I like the legends. Great array of keys. Works with most non-iso builds 60% and up. They feel great. Good profile, very sharply defined shape, and a pleasant matte surface texture. They sound great. I'm using them on an Akko MOD006 with Akko pre-lubed Lavender Purples. An almost chalky, wet-marbley sound.

So far, so good
I'm new to the hobby. I purchased three sets of Akko keycaps, black & pink, black & bronze, and Dracula's Castle. The 1st black & pink set received came with some issues, but I contacted Amazon and got them replaced. The set seemed used to me. When I received the package, the box was worn looking and it lacked the taped seal and packing foam of the other two sets. Additionally, some of the caps were loose in the case and one of the modifiers was missing. Amazon rectified the issue quickly. The 2nd set I received had the taped seal intact and foam sheet in place. Be sure to check your package upon arrival. These keycaps are good so far. They seem nicer than the stuff I've had from Corsair and Razer, but they also cost $10-30 more than those caps. The black & pink color combo is nice, but the pink is more muted when compared to some of the pictures on the Amazon website and Akko's website. The pink seems to be artificially saturated in some pictures. I was aware of this because I had seen videos on YouTube featuring these keycaps in builds. The oversaturation of all of the Akko keycaps in photos seems to be common, so search for video of the keycaps if possible. I like the actual keycaps better than the pictures - just be aware. After I purchased the keycaps, I read some reddit posts complaining of other Akko PBT keycaps developing "shine" typically seen with ABS keycaps. Apparently, not all doubleshot PBT keycaps are the same quality, and PBT keycaps are resistant but not immuned to shine. In other words, they should develop shine much less quickly than ABS, but that's not absolute and can vary from set to set. I'm still awaiting my keyboard, so I have not used them yet. These caps seem really nice so I'm hoping Akko has resolved the issue. If they develop shine quickly (<6 months), I'll update my review.
