A WONDERFUL READ!!
Deborah Blake has once again written a most wonderful book. Picking up with one of the Broken Riders, this book draws you into the story and you will not want to put it down until the last page, and then still want more. There is everything here, magic, gods, goddesses, and strong women. In this case, Ciera became strong because she re invented herself, found her strengths, and used them well.I suggest you begin with the 3 Baba Yaga novels and then continue with the Broken Riders. You won’t want to miss knowing all of these wonderful characters Deborah Blake has brought to us.

I definitely will be reading more books by this author!
This book has it all; An Asian looking dude with a Russian accent, who's lost his inner cool leaves Otherworld to rejoin the land of the Humans to become a Buddhist monk at a monastery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He's also searching for his mom, who was a powerful Mongolian shamaness, and who might or might not be alive. So, of course, he goes to the library to conduct research where he meets librarian, Ciera Evans.Ciera might look like the stereotypical librarian by day, but that is only one aspect of her nature. She trades her uptight bun, and understated clothing, for jeans, a hoodie, a braid and volunteer work at a local soup kitchen. Where Sun just started working. Boy, is he in for a surprise. Both have secrets, both have no time for the opposite sex. Monk, remember? But the universe and others have their own agenda, and things quickly heat up.This is a slightly twisted story that I loved to pieces. Keira and Sun are just friends (so they keep saying), helping one another while lusting after, and falling in love with each other. Not that either will admit it. Just to keep things jumping, we have teenage runaways, a Baba Yaga or two and their companion dragons (luckily disguised as earthly pets), a god, a goddess, a couple of villains, and lots of monks. That's when things cool down, way down.Lots of action, twist, turns, hilarity, and an intriguing cast of characters that are so real, and fantastical, that I can't get enough of them. Thankfully there are more books in this wonderful world which the author has done a fantastic job of creating. The only thing which kept me from giving the book a higher rating was the fact that Keira suddenly knew things towards the end, that she couldn't have known. Oops! But thankfully, it wasn't enough of a distraction to prevent me from enjoying the story and eagerly awaiting the next.

A great addition to the Dangerous series!
It took me a few chapters to really get into the characters in this Riders book. However, once Gregori got serious about helping himself and stopped pouting, it was great. I am not aware of any of the traditional Gods and Goddesses from Russian mythology. I am never sure what to wrote here. After all, it is not a book report. I do not want to ruin someone else's joy in reading this book by telling what happened. So, in this case, I will tell you this is a fun story with a HEA. I am waiting for Alexei's story. Any idea when it is coming out?

Another great Rider's book!
I notice the storylines run similar but another view of the events from the baba yaga series is such a good follow up! Each character in these books are so alike yet so different. This book i enjoyed that it switched from the supernatural pressing matters, to something more human. It's a nice change in the series for mortal battles to overshadow the supernatural but still managed not to lose the literal magic touch to the series! Well done!

Wondsrful
Not only was this book a great read, but also brought with it a chance for introspection.I am not sure why I can say about this story, I think about life as a monk in training, life on the streets as a homeless teen, to the skills of a librarian, with the attitudes of ones who live their lives in seclusion and lastly of Gods without followers. I became introspective, sad, wistful, cheering on the underdog with radiantly happy in one book.Thank you Deborah Blake for sharing your gift with the world. To be able to transport a person from their life to another's is a true gift and you have that gift

A great companion to the equally excellent "Dangerously Charming"!
An excellent page-turner!And kudos to Blake- while mostly I avoid reading books by an author one after another, after finishing "Dangerously Charming" I could not resist starting this one immediately, and I'm glad I did.The plot in this one is much more complex and eventful, but just as enjoyable. And I loved both Ciera and Gregori: their traumatic backstories made them very cautious and aloof, especially at first... and Blake did NOT rely on solely on passionate physical attraction to get them over it! While that certainly was there, they also were learning to respect and trust each other as their passion built. That was SO great to see!As usual for Blake, the supporting characters were well-drawn and vivid, and added a lot to the plot. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of the Riders' father, who is- among other things- a god. This was a lot of fun! I'm sorry there's only 1 more full novel in the series.
