Great for chicks, supplemental heat only for reptiles!
These should never be used as a main heat source for bearded dragons. I don't know about all reptiles, but beardies need a basking LIGHT, in addition to a good uvb bulb (arcadia 12%HO is the best). If your reptile enclosure falls below 65° at night, these should be used during dark periods as supplemental heat. If you are using these for baby birds of any kind, they work great. I think they are way better than the red flood light style heat lamps. They take less electricity and allow the chicks to experience periods of darkness, which will in turn save you money on feed because the chicks will sleep through the night instead of a nonstop 24hr feeding frenzy.

Haven’t tried the bulb yet
Just using the thermometer for now cuz I had just bought a new 100 watt, UVB/UVA/Heat bulb for them and it was not a cheap bulb lol so I did however really need a thermometer to know how close to allow the bulb to be to my turtles. They say around 90-95 degrees is ok for them and mine reads just under 90 so Ik this is at least a safe spot and won’t hurt them. Def read into stuff on how close a bulb should be. And the wattage of that bulb cuz you can hurt your turtle. 100 watt bulb should be close to 12” away from your turtle. Which is what I use for my babies :) they bask in it like their in Hawaii. We’ll let ya know how the bulb bought with this thermometer does later when we use it, but the thermometer works just fine :)

great deal! Good service.
I purchased this to replace my red lights over my reptile tanks, I bought these bulbs because they came with the thermometer. It however does not work, the screen just flashes on and off or turns off completely. The bulbs heat my tank perfectly! Edit: the company contacted me and offered to send me a new thermometer. I agreed to this thought it was amazing of them. To my surprise, when I went to the mailbox they sent me another package of bulbs and a thermometer! I tested it for two days and works fine! It was a great deal!

Great for reptiles, a foster pig, and chickens!
I got this for our chickens when it was -30. I have a few breeds of chickens that don’t do well in the cold. I got a dog crate set up out in their coop as a warming station so they could go under it to warm up without having the fire risk a normal light bulb could result in. They all loved it! I also used the extra one for our bearded dragon and a bottle fed foster pig. It provided the best heat and unlike the light bulb it allowed the pig and the bearded dragon to have the heat with a normal night and day cycle.

Works great
I use a ceramic heat emitter for my sand boa, and wanted to get one to help keep my guinea pigs' enclosure warm in the winter. I've been using these for the pigs and it's working great! I love the ceramic heat emitters compared to traditional bulbs because they don't output any light. They also get very hot, so I always use with a dimmer. I plan to use the second bulb for my snake when the original burns out. The thermometer was included (it was inside the box with one of the bulbs) and seems to be accurate.

Heats great! Longevity HORRIBLE.
The bulbs worked great but did not last anywhere close to the hours it said it could last. The first bulb lasted about 3 months and the 2nd only about 2 weeks. I don't even run them 24/7! Very disappointed.

Perfect for my fresh hatched chickens. Digital temp is finicky for on/off button but ceramic lamps get nice and warm, but not red hot and have been very reliable.
