Great shoe for a great price! The sizes are sized for climbing, which means that even if you order your usually sized shoe it will be tight almost a size smaller. If you go to the Q&A section on Amazon they explain the sizes. I believe that the sizes listed are in men’s but all of this is explained in the Q&A section. I am a women’s 8.5 and I didn’t want the shoes to be super tight so I ordered the men’s 8.5 from the website. They fit perfectly with socks and are great for top roping outside. My boyfriend is a men’s 10 and ordered the men’s 10. He wanted the tight fitting climbing shoes so they fit perfect. If you were not wanting a tight fit I would order up. We mostly climb outdoors. So far, our shoes have performed very well in a variety of conditions. We have used them on damp rocks too. These are my favorite pair of climbing shoes that I have owned and I am confident that they will last years into the future. They are very durable and comfortable. Easy to put on and take off. They are also lightweight.

I just started rock climbing. I climb indoors at a local climbing gym and have used these for top rope and bouldering. I would normally take a size 10.5 from the rental shoes and those shoes were tight and cramped my feet. These Climb-X shoes are a 9.5, they were the only ones available in a size close to my size. I bought them based on the price and I knew that I was buying a shoe that was smaller than I would normally wear. It is hard to get my foot in them but once my foot is in the shoe, even though it is very tight they are very comfortable. I can climb for over 90 min with no problems. I should say, that I have to go without socks to get my foot in. After the first 4 or 5 times, the shoes have stretched a little bit, and that makes them more comfortable. They are great beginner shoes for indoor climbing.

I've had these shoes for about 7 months now, and just completed my first soft V4/6b. So far, they haven't held me back. I've used them at 6 indoor climbing gyms, and twice outdoors. At every climbing gym and outdoor venue, the friction has been good, except for fiberglass and resin molded walls, and limestone. These shoes are medium hard (after warming up), and just don't gain much purchase on these smooth holds. I find that I have to press extra hard with my toes to get enough friction. After 7 months of twice weekly use, the toe rubber has worn only a little bit, so they still have quite a bit of life left. Overall, these are very good shoes at a great price, and I would recommend these for beginners like me.

If you have wider feet, this is a good choice. I found sizing to be accurate to my normal sport shoes. Only complaint is there is a wear spot near my small toe on both feet, but at least it doesn't feel like I've put on a pair of vices whilst still being a good fit.
