Great dresser, once you sort out the hardware
It takes me awhile to pull the trigger on purchases here and I am glad I took the plunge on Simply Modern. Some thoughts: Good 5 warranty on parts, unexpected Foam used in packing was wrapped, no trail of Styrofoam. The furniture pieces, while not uniformly marked, were easy to identify based on shape. Heads up, the drawer sides are marked left and right. Not so good The bags of nuts, cams, nails, etc were jumbled and unlabeled. I needed to use more than 1 bit on my screwdriver. If I need more than 1, I expect to be told. The back was a disappointment. I hate when the back is attached by nails. It's a sturdy piece but would have been better with a more substantial material. I know I sound really negative but I gave the dresser 5 stars because it is a great value. I was able to assemble the unit by myself in a reasonable amount of time, with experience and a good screwdriver set. The drawers are deep and the sides are real wood.

Looks nice, no damage, nice size for extra clothes storage
Product came well packaged with no damage, which is always a concern with this type of furnitature. Takes approximately 1.5 hours to put 1 unit together. Instructions are pictures only but it is prety easy to figure out. This product is 100% partical board, with only drawer sides being pine boards. Color is a deep choclate brown and looks nice. Parts went together well using the cam system and dowels. I am a perfectionist so I used wood glue on all partical board to partical board joints or wood joints as you can not crank down too hard on these cams or your will break the partical board. This makes it way stronger and a much better end product. I think the peices could come apart if you move it around so gluing is recommended. Mine woun't come apart now! Drawer slides work very nice being metal and they are sturdy if you glue as I did and open and close great. This is a good size to a taller bed at 29 inches tall. For my sons appartment or a spare room these look nice enough. Also comes with brown marker to touch up and scratches. I bought the dresser as well but havent put together yet but expect it to be the same. These are heavy like all partical board so ladie might need some help. You need to use coasters or protect top from wet glasses so finish does not bubble up. For the price I think its worth it, for the right room.

Just lovely!
Wood color is a bit darker than the picture but that makes me love it even more. The grain is a beautiful deep-chocolate color. It's well made and very sturdy. It feels high quality and expensive and putting it together was simple because instructions were easy to follow.

Sleek and Modern, but Label the Pieces Please!
The Prepac Simply Modern Nightstand has a beautiful, clean, and minimalistic design that fits perfectly with my room’s style. The quality feels solid and sturdy, and once put together, it looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. Assembly was pretty straightforward, but it was a little annoying that none of the pieces were labeled. It made me spend extra time double-checking which part was which. Once I figured that out, the process went smoothly and didn’t require any special tools or skills. Overall, I’m very happy with the finished product. it’s sleek, modern, and functional. Just wish Prepac would label the parts to make the assembly even easier.

Great nightstands!
I purchased two of these nightstands for our bedroom & am very pleased with them for the price! It took my husband about two hours each to put them together, and he said the directions were straightforward & assembly was pretty easy. They are very sturdy & heavy (no wobbling), the drawers are spacious, and I love how tall they are! They look awesome in our bedroom!

Decent for the price, but there were some issues
For the price, this is good. I purchase/build furniture somewhat often, getting things from various sites and, in looking thru the usual furniture supply websites, Amazon's rate came in at the lowest for the same product. BUT possibly the rates were lower because of minor imperfections (from the manufacturer, not Amazon). The main wood pieces were NOT labeled with stickers like usual (i.e., A, B, C, etc.), and the hardware wasn't labeled either (i.e., different sized screws, nails, etc.). So, for the wood pieces, I had to look at the instructions, discern what was what, and label them myself with post-it notes. The hardware was hillariously all mixed in a plastic baggie, not separated. Since I'm familiar with building past furniture I could figure it all out, but someone who doesn't do it often may have challenges. Honestly I think this particular box kit may have been assembled by a new hire in the warehouse (?) Another thing which isn't great: the back of the dresser is CARDBOARD, and TAPED cardboard at that. That all being said: it was easy to build and, for the cost, its decent. I needed a dresser to store my towels away, and this fits the bill. Perfect dimensions- not too big, not too small. Shipment was delivered in a timely manner and the box and contents arrived in perfect condition. Looks-wise: very comparible to Amazon's ad - no surprises. For the price, I'm happy and would purchase again.

Good looking & easy assembly
This is a perfect (pretty) addition to my home office. Good quality materials, smooth & roomy drawers and it was easy to assemble. The assembly instructions were included, but only diagrams, no text. We were afraid of this at first, but in the end agreed that the diagrams were expertly detailed and very simple to use. Took appx 60-75 min for one person to assemble. Highly recommend.

Total Assembly is Required - It's not that easy to do.
LOVE these nightstands. Great value for the money and quality is spot on. One star removed for incorrect drawings and assembly instructions. Thank God my husband has a degree in architecture and can understand plans/drawings because I would not have been able to assemble them without his help. Not gonna lie, they were a bit complex to assemble so be prepared for hundreds of little parts.

I bought two of these night tables and was pleasantly surprised especially for the price! They are MDF but it is thick and solid. It took about 2.5 hours to put them both together but the directions were well done and concise. Be advised you will need tools that aren’t included to assemble- a Philips head screw driver and hammer. Lots of screws and cam locks but the end result is sturdy and attractive. I’m a bit concerned that it comes with a marker to fix scratches, I assume it will probably scratch easily but I’m planning to protect the tops with silicone mats to avoid that and any water damage. I would recommend these as an affordable piece of furniture

Let’s start with delivery/packaging. It arrived three days earlier than expected and I managed to drop it when exiting the elevator (it’s rather heavy for an average female) … and I mean I DROPPED it. Landed on the corner, bounced on to the end and then the elevator door gave it a smack just for good measure. But I’m happy to say that it was packaged so well that nothing in the box was damaged. My hand didn’t fare so well, but that’s another story. The unit was very easy to assemble - not sure what directions the other reviewers were looking at, but the ones included with the unit were clear, step-by-step and pretty much idiot-proof (yes, I am referring to myself). It took me just under 45 minutes and I was taking my sweet time, checking and double checking everything. It is solid, the drawers are very smooth and it looks great. For the price, you really can’t beat it.

A good purchase however you get the quality you pay for. The unit looks good and is sturdy, with metal slides and rollers on the nightstand and each drawer. The pictures are an accurate representation. I purchased two units and am very handy with mechanical things, but I offer the following observations and suggestions that may be helpful for deciding on whether or not to purchase or to make your assembly easier: 1) This nightstand is essentially all MDF with virtually no solid wood. The back of the unit and drawer bases are cardboard. The finish is a "foil" similar to many IKEA products rather than wood veneer. 2) It took me 2 hours to assemble the first unit I purchased, and 1.5 hours for the second unit, going pretty steady without any breaks. There are many small pieces of varying sizes and functions, and great attention is needed for correct orientation of pieces. The manual is not explicit on some critical elements of sizing and orientation for many pieces. If you are a type of person who gets frustrated with complicated IKEA-type assembly projects or don't consider yourself handy, you probably won't like this project. 3) There are many hidden "zinc cams" that serve to provide the mechanical joins on metal dowels screwed into the MDF board. Note that 24 of these cams are all thrown into a bag and appear to be all about the same size. Unless you really pay attention to the fact that some are large and some are a bit smaller, it's easy to use a smaller cam to make a join when a larger cam is essential. Drawers take ONLY the smaller cams, and drawers do not take larger cams, so if you make a mistake, you will need to disassemble pieces of this unit you've already assembled to ensure proper completion. Step 3 of the instructions (interior bracing boards) do not specify the size of cams: only use the larger cams at this point. 4) Cabinet slides and drawer glides for the nightstand utilize a very specific orientation to work correctly (not explicitly noted in the instructions). Cabinet slides need to be oriented so that when the unit is finished and ready to accept the drawers, the drawer glide rollers can drop into the slides through an indentation on the cabinet slide. This is a subtle feature of the cabinet slides, and I made the error my first time of installing all the cabinet slides "upside down," which prevented the drawers from being inserted correctly. 5) One thing the instructions don't indicate is that the drawer slides are stamped DL and DR (Drawer Left, Drawer Right), and it helps with their proper installation to note this when you are pairing with wooden drawer sides (which are stamped L and R on their ends). I've attached some pictures of the correct orientation of the cabinet glides and drawer slides in the assembled unit. I consider these units to be disposable: they have been purchased for use within a nursing home and I don't expect more than a limited life for perhaps several years. Nevertheless, I still consider them to be a good buy for my purposes. Similar products preassembled and using all wood with better finishing are approximately three times the price.

Just as advertised. It’s easy to put together with the instructions and they also provide you with a website to watch videos if you’re uncertain. Very satisfied with the quality and I bought two.

I was skeptical about ordering but this turned out GREAT! The quality is really good, it’s sturdy and spacious, good value for money, good in size & height as well. I’d recommend this nightstand to anyone looking to upgrade their room!
