Works great for my application. I use this to clip my tool lanyards to man lifts(boomy booms n skissor lifts). Great big gate for clipping onto bigger parts of the lift and easy to manipulate with gloves. Totes score! Cheers B

Excellent Carry Beaner😁
The media could not be loaded. I needed a heavy duty carabiner for carrying many bags and water bottle And coffee cup into work each day. I tried several different ones on Amazon. They were plenty sturdy enough, but just too small to use as something to carry things. This one is large and strong. I had, in the past bought the large cheap aluminum carabiner that is used for carrying things, and it worked very well, until the mechanism breaks. I carry too much weight I guess. I took the foam padding of the cheap carabiners and glued it onto this one for a softer grip.Very high quality, very large, I can use it in the winter with gloves or mittens as well. Priced a bit higher than some of the others in this range, but it's also larger and very strong.

Perfectly fine, I should have read description closer as heavy duty made me think it was steel, but it was in the description, totally my fault. Btw it works fine

Good price for a large gate opening carabiner
This was purchased not for safety use, but as a pull up bar attachment for resistance bands It is definitely overkill for this job as they will never be subjected to more than 200 pounds, so I can't complain about the price.A fairly large pull up bar is 1.5" diameter so the gate opening of 1.78" is more than enough to fit around any. The gate itself feels well engineered, and overall design inspires confidence. 5,000 lbs capacity is impressive. All in a all well made, cool piece of gear that has many uses in addition to safety and climbing.

Is all that was advertised.
It holds serious body weight on a rope while maintaining ease of function. I am very happy with my purchase. It is not inexpensive but cost is the last thing on my mind when safety is the issue. I recommend wholeheartedly.
