Works great on my rM2
I didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices that reMarkable charges for their pens, so I gave this model a try. It works flawlessly. The eraser covers a bit more area than I'd like, or more correctly lacks fine precision, but I believe that's a function of the reMarkable tablet, not the pen itself. For large erase operations it's perfect.I just replaced the first stylus tip after almost a year of use. I probably should have changed it sooner, but the original tip was still working nicely, it was just getting worn down. The button on the side does nothing for the reMarkable, which doesn't support that feature. Not a problem, just worth mentioning.Hopefully I won't lose this, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate a moment to order another.

Works great for the scribe, but don't like the button placement
It's nice that you have a pro style pin for the Scribe that isn't as expensive as the one that Amazon sells. I'm honestly surprised that the pro pen is as expensive as it is but maybe there is more technology to it than I am aware of. they feel like plastic components and there is nothing to charge so I don't know why this pen costs what it does or Amazon's version of it. now if you are using it for the Scribe two things to note one is it's not magnetic so storing it with a device might not work if you don't have a case that has some kind of loop or holder that doesn't rely on it being magnetic. the other thing I'm not a huge fan of is the button on this one seems to be a lot harder for me to push and use it's almost like they made it flush with the rest of the pen so for my big fingers I really have to look at it when I want to use it. I don't honestly use that button for the highlighting feature that I have it enabled for too often so it's not a big deal but just something to note if you do use the button a lot on the Scribe pen. also the tips on this I think are just as well done as the one that comes with the Scribe. another good option in my opinion.

Small and light, my favorite style of EMR pen. Less hand fatigue. Clip instead of magnet!
There is no magnet to attach this pen to your metal device, but I prefer a clip over the magnet: I clip it to my shirt pocket or into a pocket on my tablet sleeve. Because it is thin & light, I can write for hours with less hand fatigue. It is also easier and quicker to flip and erase, and because the eraser is physically smaller, I get better erasing accuracy. I never use the barrel button but it works. People with larger fingers and hands may find this pen too small, since the barrel diameter (7 mm) is less than the normal barrel diameter (9 mm).The writing feel with this pen is great, but that is subjective and also depends on the installed tip. There is some tactile feedback. The EMR tips for this pen are interchangeable with other EMR pens, but I've heard that can differ depending on the pen, though so far all my EMR tips work on all my EMR pens.

Works well, but not as fun as the original
This is a stylus replacement for any device supporting EMR, but advertised in particular as a Remarkable 2 (RM2) tablet pen. As such, this review will focus on comparing with the original pen with eraser sold by Remarkable.First off, it works out of the box as advertised. There is no need for any pairing or setup configuration, no batteries or Bluetooth required. Yay. It also comes with two spare nibs and a nib remover tool (I do wish they came in a small ziplock bag instead of just loose parts). It is smaller and lighter than the original RM2 pen (see picture), so it feels a little cheap when you hold it in your hand. The build is solid however, no concern about it breaking during normal usage. It has a pen clip so you can attach it to your tablet folio, or jacket pocket, or wherever else you might store a regular pen. As opposed to the original RM2 pen, this does not have a magnet so it won't stick to the side of the RM2 tablet. The eraser does work, but you need to continually push it down while erasing, and it feels like dragging the bottom of a regular plastic pen across the table (no friction). In comparison, the original RM2 pen erases as soon as you touch the screen, and the feel is a lot like a real eraser against paper. This pen has an extra side button, which does nothing on the RM2 tablet. I assume it's going to come in handy on other devices (I briefly tested it with a Samsung S23 Ultra and it works like the original Samsung stylus). Now for the writing experience. It takes a lot of research to make a pen which feels like actual writing on paper, and here too you can feel a difference from the original RM2 pen. This is more reminiscent of a stylus on a glass iPad surface, while the original feels more like pencil on paper. The accuracy is spot on though, the pressure levels register correctly and tilt works as it's supposed to.Improvement areas: this pen would benefit from being heavier, providing a better eraser experience, and more friction on the nibs.Overall, while not a full replacement, I would definitely recommend this as a backup pen to the original RM2 one (especially since it's half the price).
