I am new to sourdough baking and wanted a dutch oven but didn't necessarily want to spend over 100$. This is above and beyond what I expected, loaf came out perfect. Not huge, perfect for 2 people and a small roast or a yummy loaf of sourdough.

I read previous reviews that said it was on the smaller size, but I was still a little surprised. I bought it to make sourdough bread and it might be a little small for that. The weight is great and I’ll use it for other things.

Okay, I've only used it once but it works and looks good...for the money. What more can you ask?UPDATE... after using it a dozen times the last few months I am still pleased with the product. It works better than a slow cooker (on my stove at low heat) and not inclined to crack if I throw something cold into it halfway through cooking. There are occasional small chips in finish after thumping it around the sink while cleaning, which is expected at this pricepoint, but it hasn't scratched my ceramic to stove like cast iron will. Why pay big bucks for the brand named pots when this looks nice and works as advertized?

I bought this for one reason only....I started making a lot of sourdough breads these past 6 mos. I've been using a round banetton to proof & a traditional round 4.5 dutch oven to bake my boule shapes. For the "loaf" sd breads, I'd proof & bake in bread tins & that's worked out fine.Last week, my (failed at sourdough) friend gave me her oval banettons. I then started searching for a small-ish oval dutch oven. I was not interested in paying for a le Creuset @ $400. This one here looked good, and the 4.5 size was what I wanted (not 5qt).I tested it out today, @ 500 degree/1hour pre heat, then baked it, and all was good! I hope it stays that way. The price is great and I like the beige color better in person. It's not so white looking, like the picture appears. It's more eggshell/light beige.Looks more expensive than it is.

One of the best Dutch oven I bought. I bought this for sourdough bread baking. It is serving its purpose.
