Good stuff!
After a little trial and error I have found that this works best with a gentle brush. Think toothbrush, something that won’t damage fabric. I have been able to get several stains out of clothing that in the past I was never able to. I have now sent one with my daughter to college and am planning to throw one in with my travel bag. I highly recommend it.

removed watermelon stain
I had previously tried to remove this stain with my regular stain remover, and it did not work. The bar soap, or rather the gall within it, does work, although I certainly didn't need two bars, but alas all reviews indicate the bar works and the liquid doesn't so what's a person to do; I found no single bars for sale. Too expensive, but if the clothing item is worth saving -- use it. Note: The bars were smaller than I expected --- smaller than regular hand soap -- but a little goes a long way.

My whites are actually white again thanks to Sonett Organic Bar Stain Remover
This product works so well that Its unbelievable. I used this Organic Bar Stain Remover Soap on two different shirts. To my surprise both shirts came out entirely clean! The dark stains in the armpits were completely gone with no damage or discoloration to the rest of the fabric. The yellow stains on my white shirt also completely gone. My white was WHITE again! The colors on the front also came out a lot brighter! Amazing product

Meh
I found this works sometimes, but more often than not I ended up having to rewash with a more popular stain remover. I ended up not using this after several tries, it just wasn't worth the headache. My clothes don't get terribly stained, mostly from sloppy eating habits so I would have hoped for better results.

Worked AMAZING removing OLD STAINS!!!
I had a shirt that got a big nasty grease stain on it. For some reason I thought that shirt was dry clean only so I just shoved it aside and forgot about it. For about FIVE YEARS. I found it a few months ago and read the tag and it’s just “machine wash gentle” lol. So I have been going crazy ever since trying to get this super set-in grease stain out of this shirt. It will not budge. None of my usual stain removers worked. It’s a vintage polyester material and the stain is so old. I was worried about putting anything too harsh on there as well because the stain was right on the front of the shirt so any damage would ruin it completely.Y’all this bar tore through that stain in less than a minute. I tested it on the inside to make sure the colors wouldn’t fade, as per the instructions. Then I went to town on the stain. I rubbed the bar on the stain. I rubbed the bar on my hands and then scrubbed the stain. I couldn’t see it anymore but I kept scrubbing for a full minute just to be thorough. I rinsed the shirt in my sink and I could see no stain! I threw it in the wash one last time to be sure all the soap and gunk was out but that shirt looks good as new. I am SO impressed. This will be my new go-to for sure.

Great results on recent oil-based stains
I wanted to give Sonett stain remover soap a couple weeks of use before reviewing. In a nutshell, it has been excellent at removing recent, oil-based stains. I tried it on a variety of fabrics and there wasn't any difference with olive oil, cooking oil, bacon grease, butter, etc, it was great at completely removing all of them. I prefer to use a spray stain remover just because it is quick and easy, but this did work really well. I would wet the stain and soap, rub the soap on the stain, let it sit for a couple hours or overnight, and it removed every stain without discoloring or harming the fabric. The only test that it failed on was a shirt that was stained 4 years ago. I found a tuxedo shirt balled up on the floor of my daughter's closet and I know specifically it was last worn for a school performance. The neck was badly stained from makeup and sweat. I let the soap sit overnight before laundering and I washed it twice. It certainly lightened the stain but it was not fully removed. I knew that was going to be a big challenge since the stain was so old and dark, I am not sure that any stain remover would have done better so I'm not disappointed. One thing to note- an image in the product description says this is 100% vegan. On Sonett's website the composition includes bovine gall powder. That is what makes it especially effective at breaking down oil-based stains. So while it may be 100% natural, or even organic, I have a hard time believing it is vegan or even vegetarian.
