I've bought many fixed blade knives for several years and collect them (my most favorite always being the KABAR fixed blade knife). However, I saw this on my Amazon feed and got curious. A very cheap fixed blade knife that's M390 steel for $40?!?! No way. "This is probably a fake." is what I thought to myself. However, I decided to purchase it just to see how it is and give a honest review. The packaging is simple and nice, a plain black box that's not massive or unnecessarily huge. Opening the package, you get the sheath and the knife separated.The sheath itself is very well designed! However, the quality of the leather is what surprised me the most. I'm not sure what kind of leather they used, but you can immediately tell it's high quality leather. It's durable and will definitely last a very long time.The blade of the knife has the markings M390 on it and, if I'm correct, a serial number on the other side. Blade is very sharp out of the package. Testing it on wood, paper, and other materials, it cuts through very nice. Honestly, I bought this knife to use as part of self-defense. This will definitely be good in self-defense.The handle of the knife is also well designed. I love it so much. As someone who trains a lot of knife fighting movements, I can say that this knife has a good handle for you to hold it in various kinds of grips. Forward grip, reverse grip, Filipino grip, Wharncliffe grip. However, because of how smooth the handle is, there is always the high chance that it can slip off your hands when your palms become sweaty or the handle gets covered in other substances that makes it slippery (such as blood) when fighting. THIS IS EASILY FIXED by just wrapping the handle in different materials such as leather, paracord, rubber cordura, etc. It's all up to your choice to make the handle more grip efficient for your needs.Overall, for $40 (current price as I'm writing this) for a high-quality M390 blade, nicely designed handle and sheath, this is WORTH THE PRICE and, honestly, A STEAL!!!! Most likely they will increase the price once this product receives more attention. If I were you and want a HIGH QUALITY, CHEAP, small fixed knife with a BLADE THAT DOES NOT BREAK WHEN FIGHTING OR DOING OTHER THINGS, then this is it for you.

I just received this knife today 01/27/25.Upon first impression, WOW! Great look and fit. Even though it is made in China I was pleasantly surprised. Sheath is made of a good thick leather well designed and a nice snug fit. Well balanced and good grip on handle. Sharp right out of the box. I did put a better edge at a 30 degree bevel that you could shave with. Time will tell on edge retention as I use it to see if it is a true 390 steel which is the main reason I bought it. I figured for 40 bucks it was worth the chance to see. Overall I am very pleased. It's still a beautiful knife and another for my collection.

Great product for the cost

A super good price for an M390 blade, but the handle is short for the normal width of an adult U.S. male's hand. The index finger slot is too small and tight, curling up and gouging the index finger. The upper guard is also very pointy. The blade is a nice size, but the metal in the upper guard and handle needs ground smoother with more spacing. This handle was designed for a thin narrow hand, or perhaps a smaller U.S. woman's size hand. The sheath backing looks very cheap and the stitching was ripped out at the belt looping area, making the one I received useless for wearing... unless restitched. I would rate it lower, but I really do like the blade and I intend on grinding down the spots mentioned. My hands are only average size. I think someone with larger hands might be dissapointed with the fit.

Im just learning knives. But the one thing that jumped out at me is the balance. Its almost an extension of the hand holding it. The M390 steel is beautiful. Shines and cleans with a cloth to a high gloss. Sharp and hard. Serial numbered. Beautiful imprinted logo. The wood handle is gorgeous. This knife is an absolute steal. Pun? Get it before they jack up the price. I have many knives and this just topped all of them. And i will display it but its a shame not to use it every day. In the kitchen- handling and putting it to the task it was born for. Bottom line . I am overwhelmed with the quality and beauty of this knife. I love the thing. Enough said.
