Topo AthleticWomen's Terraventure 4 WP Waterproof Comfortable Cushioned Durable 3MM Drop Trail Running Shoes, Athletic Shoes for Trail Running

I rely heavily on Amazon product reviews, so I was little hesitant to purchase these for $150 with no reviews. I am always on the hunt for a good solid shoe and I think most people would agree that it's next to impossible to find anything decent for under $100 these days. Upon further research on the company's website, I found that these are a new model for Topo, so I decided to take the plunge and purchase them without any reviews. I'm happy to leave the first Amazon review to help others in their purchasing decision. I currently have several pairs of Altra Provisions and was looking for a waterproof version of that shoe. Altra does not make a waterproof Provision and so I tried both their Lone Peak and Olympus GTX, which ARE waterproof but neither of these shoes worked for me. Upon first receiving the Topo Terraventure 4 WP, I found that they are made extremely well. I tried them on and OMG, comfort right out of the box!!! They feel way more supportive than the Altra's in that, they feel like they are hugging your foot. The area around your ankle feels like a collar - not restrictive in any way - but feels like it supports your foot from going from side to side. I also like the way the shoe feels underfoot. You can feel the entire sole making contact with the ground below, which gives an extremely supportive and steady feeling. I like a zero drop shoe, which the Altra's have and these are only 3mm drop, so I cannot really notice the difference between the two in that aspect. The toe box is very roomy like the Altra's as well. I cannot speak to running or hiking in them but with the support that they offer, I imagine they would be perfect for both. I use them for walking and for me, they are a very comfortable shoe for daily use too. They are definitely waterproof and great for inclement weather. I am a solid Size 7 but like the Altra's, these seem to run a 1/2 size small, so a 7 1/2 fit me perfectly. I like them so much that I just purchased the non-waterproof version of the Terraventure 4, which are great too! My only suggestion would be to offer these in more colors to choose from instead of just grey.

I am very picky when it comes to footwear. If it's not perfect, I won't keep it. These shoes are amazing. Super comfy right out of the box. No breaknin needed. I wear them 9 hrs a day at work. I use my own insoles for added comfort. I love the wide toebox. My feet are not sore at the end of the day and they can handle all day rain! My socks were completely dry when after a full day in the rain! Not one complaint.

Topo Athletic shoes are great if you have wide feet in the front and narrow heels.It was exciting to see they had a waterproof version, but two months after purchasing, it started to rain in California and these are definitely NOT waterproof!

I own 2 other pairs of Topos, the Ultraventure and Mountain Racer. I love the wide toe box and narrow heel, and they fit me beautifully. While the toebox on this Terraventure is consistent with other Topos models, I discovered on my first hike that the heel is not similarly narrow. As a result, the shoe slips considerably in the heel. Tighter lacing is uncomfortable and doesn't solve the problem. Very disappointed.

Bought these because I have a pair of RunVenture 4’s that are super comfortable with lightweight cushion Vibram soles- which I LOVED but they have run their course. Decided to try these. I wanted something for work- I walk/stand/hike/jog and also outside all day and wanted something comfortable that wasn’t a boot. Wore them for 8 hours today and I’m satisfied. For the first hour I had them on, they really hurt my feet (I have “special” feet) but then I was able to break them in more and more as the day went on. By the end of the day my feet were very comfortable. It’s winter and my feet stayed warm. I loved the grip of the Vibram soles and the stability they provide with the extra thick shoe material. I’ve included a picture of the inside to provide an idea of Topo’s “inner boot” that provides the support for their waterproof claim. They’re a few ounces heavier due to the durabile rubber sole and extra waterproof material inside, but lots better than wearing boots. Excited for the next few days to break them in some more! Hope this helps in you making your decision to buy.

This is my fourth pair of Topo running shoes but first pair of their waterproof. I buy these shoes primarily because the shoe has a broad toe box. I have a long, low arch, there shoes are perfect for me. My first walk with them out of the box was 7 miles, up and down hill. No discomfort whatsoever. I buy a half size bigger than I normally wear so going down hills my toes do not get shoved against the toe of the shoe.

I really must tell you if your feet hurts and legs aches n back pain well you need try these women shoes for I love them, I usually don’t buy or wear nothing but brooks shoes but a friend had a pair of these n I loved the way they looked and the color n she works on her feet long hours days to n she loved them , so I wanted to see what I thought n how they made me feel I walk my subdivision and walk the gym a lot n my back n legs hurt n bothered me a lot but with these shoes I can walk farther with no back n leg pain n my feet don’t hurt like they use to . Yes, they are expensive but hey isn’t it worth it If u have less pain ? I haven’t gotten them wet so don’t know of the water proof but I bet they are awesome . Try them see how you like like them 😁

I wanted to love these, but unfortunately they are very stiff. They are waterproof and warm with grippy soles which is what I needed for the Pacific Northwest rainy season. However, they are not very comfortable. I end up using my Altra trail runners more often as they are much more comfy unless it's raining when I will use this pair. I do like the style and color, too.
