Pro Choice
Want a London Pattern Trowel? Look no further than this. Superb build quality and, in my honest opinion, the Durasoft handle is way better than wood. Built for daily use. 6 Month Update - Nicely worn in now, and still a joy to use. Recently answered a question about trowels that I'll repost here. Different patterns have different uses. The differences in the patterns are due to the masons who developed them using different building materials. The London Pattern was designed to be used with London Stocks and is excellent at tight restricted use (such as chimneys) and is kite shaped due to masons using the trowel to cut bats. The Wide London Pattern originated in Manchester and due to the larger size of bricks has a wider kite shape allowing more mortar to be loaded. The 19/11 is a Philadelphia Pattern, sometimes called Canadian Pattern, and originated in North America. They are much more suited to CMU block work than brick since most North American builds use timber frames. Due to this there was no need to have an edge to cut bats and the deeper triangular shape allows the largest amount of mortar to be loaded out of these three trowel patterns. Personally I prefer the London Pattern and use a 34/11 for blocks and a 33/11 for bricks.

Highly recommended
It’s light and feels just perfect for some one looking for a medium range spread mock as quickly as the guys with the bigger the better on the line and with less stress on the wrist at the end of the day been using mine for a week now washing the blade after work it hasn’t gone all funny as some do so am really pleased

Real Tradesman's Trowel
I have always used a Philadelphia 1911 trowel but there is alot more comfort in the wrist and elbow using this. Excellent for cutting batts. Maybe go for the 3410 if you do a lot of 6" or 9" blocks
