Q: Location of shifter, is it by the base of your steering wheel, or can you have it lower on the frame?

The bracket for the shifter attaches under the wheel base to the same support. You can adjust it left or right, but there is nowhwere to mount it lower on the frame.

Q: Can support direct drive wheels?

It fits. It can give a good experience on lower setting (<8Nm). For the best experience on higher torque settings, the Playseat® Trophy - Logitech G Edition would be recommended.

The adjustment knobs for broke after 2 days

The adjustment knobs for extending and retracting the pedal tray are made of plastic. They broke on day 2. Apparently lots of talk about this in the forums, and you’re supposed to drill into them and use proper screws. Too much faff for a brand new rig, so I returned it. Otherwise it’s very comfortable and no issues there.
