HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, EXCELLENT WIRE FOR MAKING SOUND CONNECTIONS
I buy the things I review, I never trade my reviews for free stuff like many on Amazon. I needed to make some balanced TRS patch cords for my recording studio and bought a roll of this wire. The outer jacket is very flexible, the shield is a "serve" type which means it's wrapped around the inner conductors just like Mogami does it on a lot of their cable that costs three times the price. A serve shield is functionally equal to a braided shield, maybe a tad less durable although I have many cables that are over 20 years old made with the serve type shield and they're working great. Serve shield is easier to work with than braided shield so I'm not afraid of it. The only time serve shield is not good is when people treat their cables poorly and bend them into hard u-turns or extreme angles, this can cause the shield to separate under the jacket and weaken the protection to induced noise. I treat my cables well, like expensive tools and have never had a problem with this type of cable construction. In my lab I tested the wire for capacitance and impedance and found both to be very low, this means you could make cables for passive instruments without your tone sucking. For interconnecting studio processors it's an excellent cable. I'm using GLS TRS plugs on the ends, these plugs are easy to solder, I prefer them to the Switchcraft 297 type TRS plugs, easier to solder and one-third the price. I worked for a US wire manufacturer for five years and got to see a lot of the inside of the wire business, so much of it is smoke and mirrors. It really comes down to how good the wire sounds in the application, for professional sound and recording this wire works great and the price is very reasonable. Super fast Amazon Prime delivery made it even sweeter. I like that the wire is untinned copper, this makes it more flexible and resistant to breakage than plated steel plated copper. This cable takes solder well and is easy to work with. The inner construction is on par with any professional cable, it looks and feels like a good Mogami clone. Highly recommended. Good music to all!

GREAT MIC CABLE, GREAT PRICE
I'm an audio engineer and usually make my own cables for stage and/or installation jobs. So, I am picky. At first I was leary of getting mic cable at such a good price. I normally use Canare Star Quad, but I had to find mic cable fast for a small installation job at a church. I had volunteer help, but didn't have enough Canare on-hand, so I overnighted the GLS mic cable. When I opened the box, the heavy duty cardboard reels were well packaged. I immediately got my pocket knife out and peeled back the rubber jacket to reveal a copper shield, several strands of string and a white and a red plastic-coated stranded copper wires. Let me expound on the cable's elements: RUBBER JACKET - for sound installation, this works fine. I don't know how it would hold up over time for use in live sound. It does peel very easily once you cut it, and that's a plus. I was able to install connectors quickly. COPPER SHIELD - this is not braided copper. At first I thought that could be a detriment, but again, it works well for installed sound. I had to pull 4, 150' lengths for choir mics and all mics are working fine with no RF problems. STRING - this appears to be cotton string used in manufacture and it cuts easily and doesn't fray. RED & WHITE CONDUCTORS - These surprised me. They appear to have a rigid plastic feel, but the outer plastic cuts away easily leaving the durable strands of copper. Also when soldering, the plastic doesn't melt or draw-up. All of the copper heats evenly and distributes the solder very well.

High quality - great bargain
We bought this bulk cable to set up a church AV system that needed XLR cables for audio as well as the DMX light controller. So buying the bulk cable allowed us to customize the length of every cable as well as complete the project in a reasonable budget. The cable is really good quality. No issues with sound or being able to solder it. All connections are solid. The wires are really good quality and easily tinned. The cotton core also helps keep the cable flexible and yet strong . Highly recommend this. We picked up the roll for $50 bucks. Hope it's still on sale when you need it.

Microphone cable is as advertised.
My first run was 125 ft and I was concerned about the signal quality. I was relieved once I installed the connectors and tested the microphone. My application is strictly a lecture situation, so I'm not sure how well it would perform in a singing applicaton. The jacket is pliable and shield while not a braid, was well suited for soldering to the connector. It think that this purchase was good value.

Good cable
Started using a year ago for some custome cables. Nice to be able to put a sleeve on to identify and secure cables. The jacket is nice and flexible and have not had a problem as of yet. These cables get used and abused in a rental house, so they get the job done.

Great speaker/instrument cable.
I just have to say, I am blown away by this microphone and instrument cable. Not only is it super low-noise (which is a game-changer when you're working on big under-stage projects), but it's also incredibly easy to work with. What I really appreciate is how flexible it is. You can bend it and twist it to your heart's content, and it never loses any of its quality or sound. That's a big deal when you're trying to get everything set up just right for a big audio project. One thing to keep in mind is that terminating the cable requires a certain level of skill to make the solder flow properly. The cable is coated with a material that can make it a little tricky to solder, but with the right technique, it's definitely doable. Overall, I think this cable is a fantastic choice for anyone who needs a reliable and high-quality cable for their audio setup. Whether you're working on stage or in the studio, it's definitely worth considering. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Xlr cable
Cable works great! Just needed to find some kind of cable that I could do some quick runs for some powered speakers and a couple of wireless microphones. Worked out great and it isn't shielded cable. Got no interference from anything and my power cords were a little close to the runs I did for the speakers. Good bang for the buck if you looking for something quick. Also got some male and female XLR's to go with all of this. Worked out great.
