I have tried a lot of different peppered jerky styles including sun dried paper thin, strips, sticks, and chunks. Found this brand on Amazon and I love it. Loads of flavor, coarse ground pepper, not dry nor too moist, not super thin nor super thick. In my opinion, good value for a 1-pound, resealable bag. The only "bad" thing is that I find it so tasty, I have to limit myself to 1 or 2 pieces at a time or I will easily eat half a bag in no time!

Omg! This is delicious like no other jerky. Lots of seasoning on it. It’s so good, best not in the fridge. If you put it in the fridge, you gotta let it go to room temperature to enjoy. Not too soft, not too hard, just right.

When I first purchased Peoples Choice Peppered Beef Jerky it was the best. after the first time my jerky was so dry it was not edible. I unfortunately tried 2 more times with the same exceedingly dry jerky. They can actually track my orders and see how many chances I unfortunately gave them. I don't understand how a product can be so amazing and perfect with tenderness and not excessively dry...to completely becoming a full bag of jerky in the trash. I did not mind paying the cost of this jerky until they never produced the same product I received on my first purchase. I just recently perused the jerky companies on Amazon. I stopped on Peoples Choice and just could not waste another dollar on pure leather. IT WAS SO FRICKEN GOOD the first time.

I’m giving four stars for the quality of the meat and the amount for the price. We are extremely picky about our jerky, especially the moisture content. People’s Choice is almost there for us, but still too moist. We like very dry (but not fall apart the minute you touch it) jerky. This just didn’t fit the bill. The taste was pretty good, but again just didn’t quite live up to our expectations. This jerky is definitely on the sweeter side, so if you like your jerky salty or without sugar, this isn’t the right pick. We like salty and highly peppered jerky, so we bought the Black Pepper flavor. It had a black pepper flavor to it, but the brown sugar overwhelmed most of the other flavors. Again, if you like moist jerky that has a very sweet taste, this is for you. However, if you’re like my family and prefer your cow dry as the desert and just as salty/peppery, I would recommend No Man’s Land.

Pros: Volume per Price, mouthfeel, peppery Cons: Too Spicy, too sweet I prefer the soy sauce tasting jerkies and this is not that. It is dry and black peppery, which is ideal for me, but the overall taste just isn't what I was looking for. Will likely not get again, but I'm sure many people will love it.

I read some of the review for Peoples Choice Beef Jerky and checked it out. I decided on the Old Fashioned Hot and Spicy flavor and what I liked besides the all natural and low-processed ingredients was that there is no added sugar. I am no jerky connoisseur, but I know what I like. This jerky is on the dry side, very flavorful and all natural. There is only 3 ingredients, beef, water and spices. That's it. I buy the big bag. I have now ordered a bag every other week since ordering the first bag. I have also been ordering the People's Choice Small Batch Cowboy Peppered,which I also love. It is more moist with great flavor, but it does have some sugar. I get both bags w each order and this is what I snack on everyday and would highly recommend this to everyone. Additionally, I get emails from the team at People's Choice and I can tell they care about putting out a good product. Good for them. In these times, it will certainly help them.

One of the things I love most about this brand is the good taste, quality meat, and more importantly low sugar/additives. I travel a lot and try every new jerky I find and nothing comes close to delivering on all three of these things in one. I’ve noticed a lot of people complain about variation in batches in their reviews which caused me to want to write this - that’s part of the experience of having real jerky where ‘imperfections’ aren’t hidden in the processing of the meat or in sugar. No one cow is the same so each bag will be different - just like when you order the same steak at a steakhouse. Also, getting a fatty batch is the jackpot for me. Melts in your mouth with flavor. Keep up the good work guys!

Flavor is decent but the jerky is very thick and dry at the same time it breaks off and is kinda chalky also the pieces are very oily and have puddles of solidified grease on the outside
