I’ve owned a couple of these basketball pop shot games, and this one is pretty good. Definitely a lighter duty construction then a game that you pay $100 more for, but it works great. The fold up action is good, digital components work well, and the basketballs are good too. I wouldn’t call it super sturdy, but I would call it super functional. Our only problem with the game was the height - it’s perfect for small children, but taller kids and adults get a sore back quickly from bending over to pick up the basketballs. We solved that problem! It became obvious we needed another 12” of height to make it comfortable to play, and spent a lot of time figuring out the easiest way to modify it. The answer was 3/4” conduit. The poles that are used as a frame for this basketball game are almost the same outside diameter as 3/4” thin wall conduit. Here’s a list of what we bought: - 10’ of 3/4” thin wall conduit - four 3/4” conduit couplings - four hose clamps (big enough to wrap around two pieces of 3/4” conduit) - electrical tape The two legs directly underneath the backboard are vertical. We pulled off the rubber caps at the bottom of the poles, and attached the conduit couplings to the poles. Then we cut two pieces of 3/4” conduit 12” long, attached them to the conduit couplings, and put the rubber caps on the bottom of the conduit. The middle legs are on an angle and needed conduit extensions a little longer, about 14”. Using the same method listed above, we extended those legs too. The front legs in the area where you stand and shoot were a different challenge, because they’re rounded, and conduit couplings can’t be used to extend them. Instead, we cut two more pieces of 3/4” conduit about 30” long, used electrical tape to seal both ends, and attached them to the front legs with hose clamps. What a difference!!! It’s a completely different game 12” higher. Didn’t lose any stability either. Not only do you not get a backache playing it, but shooting is much more realistic and fun. We are using the game inside (Coronavirus quarantine entertainment) in an area with a 9’ ceiling, and we still never come close to hitting the ceiling. Now you can really use the backboard with spin on the ball for consistent accurate shots. Now there’s no question that this mod will make it more difficult for children or short people to play, but my 15 year old loves it (and so do I). It turned a really good game into a great game for less than $20 in parts and less than an hours work. I have read other reviews where people complain about the electronics going bad on their game. While ours are still working well, I do know from experience that it does happen, and it can be the death of the machine. It’s not much fun to play these games without automatic digital scoring. Hopefully the seller would send warranty parts if it did fail within the 1st year, but I hope I don’t have to find out. In the mean time, it’s really nice game for the price, and crazy fun with the height extension.

So, it’s Christmas morning and I spent several hours putting this together by myself. Backboard and all. It’s doable but if you have an extra set of hands get help lol. All the parts were there except a one washer. So I used a sub. Also the wrench it comes with could be better. Only problems I had was not reading the instructions all the way through. I got this as a Christmas gift for my nephews and I can’t wait for them to see it. It’s sturdy and fun for all ages. Of course I had to take a couple shots to test it out :) Oh it’s huge but not to heavy. Comes with 4 small balls that you have to inflate. Device included. Overall I believe it’s a great product.

After the 6 hours of putting this together (without all of the pieces!), the frame is still not 100% steady or together correctly. We had to rig up some ways to gets parts together, due to faulty holes in metal, lack of pieces, and very poor instructions and diagrams. My boys seem to enjoy playing, and it does seem like the functionality is fine, even with faulty assembly. Pros: balls easy to inflate and are sturdy, backboard is durable, control panel and sensors are fun and not overly loud, netting is durable. Cons: Missing pieces, hard-to-follow directions and diagrams, frame not 100% sturdy, assembly took two educated adults 6 hours
