Hikari Bio-Pure Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Pets, 0.42-Ounce

The fish seen to love it. I use it as a supplement at times, Great for baby fish.

My 5 Goldie’s and 1 of my 2 Cory’s go crazy for this stuff. I’m thoroughly entertained and enjoy watching them eat this. This sends them darting through the water to catch a bite as if in their natural element since it’s easily circulated throughout the tank by the flow of the water filtration system rather than pellets that float on the surface requiring no effort. One cube is way too much. I cut it in half and place in a bit of water to soften. Then, pour the food in the tank and watch them go. On my subscribe and save.

Hikari Bio-Freeze Dried Spirulina is a great supplemental feeding item for all the fish I have in my aquarium. My tiger, rosy, and cherry barbs all enjoy feeding on this product. It creates a feeding frenzy in my tank. I know that the Spirulina provides a myriad of health benefits for the fish. The remnants of the Spirulina that actually make it to the bottom of the tank are devoured by my corydoras. I feel better knowing that I'm providing my fish a healthy diet with Hikari Bio-Pure Freeze Dried Spirulina. The only downside is the price. However, I often purchase it through Amazon when they (the Spirulina) is available in a two-pack. I do recommend this product highly. It arrived quickly. It was packaged perfectly. I'm satisfied with the purchase.

My fish found this to be a yummy treat, didn't cloud the water, but if not careful when you crumble it into water can turn powdery. My only criticism is there was a lot of this powdery brine shrimp in bottom of container so it's a bit fragile, but my fish were all over it when I dropped it in tank so that is the true test!

It's ok, but really not meant for Bettas, even though I do feed it to mine. He likes it, but isn't too nuts over it like he is with the bloodworms. Major issue with this product is the fact that its in cubes which need to be totally broken down to tiny pieces to feed to a Betta fish. It's a lot of work and quite messy. And because of the very brittle tiny pieces you get when it's broken apart for your Betta, they tend to scatter like a powder all over the water surface, which just makes a huge mess. The Betta will not touch the cube as a whole, so it does need to be broken up. Honestly, I can see this food as a great product for other much larger fish, but definitely not for Bettas -- at least not mine anyways.

I purchased these Freeze Dried Brine shrimp to feed to a crew of young Electric Blue Jack Dempsey's and a small Black Ghost Knife Fish. I had previously been feeding them blood worms and some flakes, so I wanted to add something to their diet to switch things up. The brine shrimp comes out in cubes which fall apart when water is added to it. I've been feeding them this food for about three weeks now and my little guys love it. I always just hold a piece of the brine shrimp in my tank, initially it was to let it soak and then break it into pieces, but now my Jacks actually love it so much they just come up and start munching on it while it's in my fingers. It's helping them grow and bringing out the colors. That with them liking the food so much makes this a quality food product for the aquarium. I am getting more to start feeding to my angels other tropical fish.

My betta loves this food. He gets excited the moment he sees me pick it up. No more nasty pellets. And you get a lot for the price!!! Does not smell or dirty his tank. Nice large container. Arrived quickly
