Do these socks have the extra support for the arch?

These socks have somewhat of a support in the arch area. The top of the foot area has thicker cushiony material and the bottom of the foot (arch) area seems about the same thickness as the heel and toe areas, but maybe there is a tighter weave of the cotton in that area gives more strength to the arch. Also, these socks are more like an over-the-calf style sock because the upper elastically material is very stretchy, and when you pull up the socks all the way, the socks go up over your calves, which is higher up than a normal crew sock goes and stops near the bottom of your calves.
