It’s really easy to build I love how it fits and it looks soo good in my room! I thought it might be a little too big but it’s perfect!

From my wife: My colleague put these shelves on her desk and I thought they were useful and cute so I ordered them. I read some reviews saying it was difficult to put them together. I simply followed the instructions and found it very easy. All the holes were properly drilled and lined up with the holes in the other pieces. The little screwdriver that was included worked well. I really like these shelves and they look great on my desk.

For less than thirty bucks, this is a great little desktop shelf. Assembly is fairly straightforward. The shelf will arrive flat packed with instructions and enough screws to put everything together. It also comes with a cheap little flathead screwdriver, but it'll be a lot faster and less tedious to put together if you have a decent screwdriver of your own to use. The individual pieces aren't labeled, but assembly is only a few steps and it's easy to figure out where everything goes. Construction quality is... okay. It's particleboard (probably) with some kind of veneer over the top, at least for the black color. The fit and finish of the whole thing leaves a lot to be desired, and the veneer on the edges isn't the same as the veneer on the tops and bottoms. Mine also had what seemed to be some glue residue on the very edges of the boards. It mostly cleaned up and it's not super noticeable, but it mars the overall appearance a bit if you're really looking for it. It'd probably be less noticeable on a lighter finish. It looks fine (good, even) from a few feet away, though. One small complaint is that no caps are provided for the screws, so you're left with visible screw holes all over the thing. In terms of usable space and design, it's honestly pretty great. The two pieces design is interesting and does let you be a little bit creative in how you want to use it. I've got it set up as shown in the product pictures and it works well. The individual pieces are sturdy and can probably hold anything that you'd want to put on a shelf of this size, but the two-piece construction does leave me concerned about the possibility of knocking the two pieces apart. If you're going to use it this way, I'd recommend finding a way to permanently attach the pieces or at least keeping the shelf clear of anywhere that you might bump into it. On the whole, you really get more than you pay for with this. It's not going to blow you away with its quality, but it looks good from afar and most of the aesthetic issues are completely unnoticeable once you've got stuff on it. It's also more than sturdy enough unless you're really loading it down with more weight than makes sense for a desktop shelf.

**UPDATED** The day after writing my review the shelves slipped apart on their own and the two pieces separated causing what I had on the shelves to fall including an unlit candle which almost hit my dog on her head. You will not be able to use these shelves without fastening the two pieces together. For me its not worth the money or time to return so they are sitting in a corner in two pieces until I find a place that is not used often to put them. My original post was:: I bought this as a kitchen counter organizer (not a desktop one as it stats in the description), so I could not really use it for what I had intended (spices, cookbook, etc). It is larger then what I envisioned so it wouldn't help me make more space on my counters. Right now it's on a kitchen counter we don't use much. The directions were clear and simple. It comes with a screwdriver (reversible phillips and flat), the screws needed plus 1 extra. There are 7 pieces divided into two groups for an easier assembly. When the two groups are assembled you place one on the other, they do NOT screw together. The quality seems to be good. It feels sturdy enough. I don't know why they say adjustable in the title. I don't see an easy way to make these adjustable. It gets 5 stars because the ease of putting it together and the quality of the product.

Nice looks and assemble into two pieces that can be arranged into different variations. The weight is not too heavy but also not the lightest, similar to lifting 2 hardcover text book. Very easy to assembles, takes less than 20 minutes with set hole location for each pieces and aligns perfectly with each other with a small issue of the holes are deep enough to sink the nails into them and nothing to cover it.

I was happy to find these little shelves and was even more pleased that the two pieces may be arranged differently. I have about a dozen books I want by my desk. However, they were taking up my desk, which felt too cluttered. I got these little shelves, and they provided the extra space I desperately needed. They are versatile: big enough to hold my dozen books and even some of my trinkets. I like them. They also don't take over all my desk so it looks more organized. There were no missing parts. The box they came in had all the necessary parts to assemble them and included a small screwdriver. I did have to take it apart a couple of times because the holes have indentations where the screw head will go, so watch out for those. Otherwise, the screws will stick out. They seem to be well-built, but time will tell. The color blends well with the rest of my desk. I wanted white, but I'm glad I went with the brown colored instead. I recommend them.

I love this! Perfect for a dorm room, good quality and easy to put together. Instructions can be a little confusing but a great product!
