Solid blender! I wanted a blender with a wider base so I could also attempt to use it for chopping herbs and making sauces or dips during the cold months. I almost bought another Oster as my last one worked great but it was a combo blender/chopper. with two tops. I didn't want all those pieces. So, so far upon arrival i made a thick smoothie and it worked great! Love the pour spout with the cap and the additional openinng to pour in more liquid. The immediate feeling of the machine was "solid". The glass blender and plastic top feel well made (top fits snug) and it was easy to assemble and take a part to clean. Next I have to try using for salsa and see how that works. But, overall this is a good blender and I also found it to be on the quieter side compared to my Oster.

I really like this blender. It is very versatile because there is a variety of buttons on it so that you can make many different things but so far I've only made smoothies. It has alit of power so it grinds all of my frozen fruit pretry quickly and perfectly so that my smoothies turn out really smooth and not chunky. It is pretty big so you get alot made at once. The seal on top is strong, I didn't have any issues with leakage.

It is loud enough to wake up a baby in the next room, it's definitely not the loudest blender, but to call it quiet is an overstatement. The last blender I had I would put on top of a pillow to quiet down because it was incredibly loud, so relative to that this one is almost pleasant to use. It's well built, the blades are safely dull. I add dates as an alternative to sugar, they do not blend well, there are always big pieces. There is gap around the blades on the bottom which food falls into and gets stuck. The blender always has to be taken apart to clean this area. It is a circular gap between the blade holder and the glass. The blender is powerful and blends carrots and whatnot into a puree. The result is still pulpy, but not chunky, except with the dates. It doesn't bubble up so even with less water than needed, it still pulls everything down and blends it. It is much more effective than something $20 cheaper in my experience. It's a well built and effective blender for the typical tasks one would expect a basic blender to do. It's not comparable to any specialized blender that is able to do fancy nut butters or whatever they do. I made the choice to get this and supplement with a food processor. It has some design flaws but still manages to be effective. I use it for hot and cold liquids. It is a glass jar. I never use the weird pour spouts in the lid because they have nooks and crannies to clean, I just take the lid off. The rubber feet are nice because they are not glued on, if they come off you can just put them back on. This blender is powerful. This is slightly better than most blenders, and not in the same class as the more expensive ones. It's just a blender.

This blender was used once everyday for an entire year and thus far it is now starting to fail, DO NOT PUT THE BLADE PART IN THE DISHWASHER!!!!! it will start leaking and fail eventually, the brass and what ever grease they use for it is now all over as you can see in the pictures below. I bought this to make smoothies with so i could eat during cancer treatment with head and neck cancer. they don't them like they used to. as you can see in the photos this thing leaks every time i use it now and leaves a brass paste all over and is very hard to clean up. i dont know if this goes inside your smoothie or shake. they do not sell replacement blade section from this company, just a 3rd part after market version which i just got today and dont know if it works. also from the vibration you can see its tearing one of the locking tabs that holds down the glass. other than this, it has been a reliable blender though didnt last as long as my old one which lasted 24 years from a different company.

I just received my new Black and Decker blender today and used it to make my daily smoothie. I'm very pleased! It was quick and easy to take apart the pitcher to clean, then to reassemble. It was just as easy to make my smoothie (I ran it for about a minute) and the result was good, making good on its smoothie name! I'm really glad I have it, and the price was great too.

Works good . I like the glass, especially with the info on how bad micro plastics are , it 's an absolute must. It has good power but it makes a racket. I honestly thought I got a bad one with the amount of noise and vibration. I checked it out as far as the bearings and the motor and everything seems tight and smooth. I use it a lot, no leaks. I got used to the noise . It blends nice , comes apart nice, easy to clean. The price was awesome. As long as it keeps working , I'm digging my noisy blender.

Perfect blender for me as all I wanted was less noise and to do my protein shakes every am! Does the job well and is quieter (not a lot) than the shake only blender I was using before. Not sure how it would perform on heavier jobs like making peanut butter etc

I am very happy with this blender. It makes all my smoothies, and even has the ice chopping setting. I love how it has the glass container, and not the cheap plastic. The parts are easy to disassemble to wash. I love the feature of the little plastic part in the lid you lift up to pour your smoothies, and it clicks back securely. I highly recommend this blender.

Purchased this blender a while back and it does wonders! It's easy to use, It's powerful, easy to clean, It's big enough to get the job done and great value for your bucks. Very satisfied with my purchase.
